All Star Family Fortunes
Saturday 27 October 2007 7:45pm - 8:30pm on ITV1.

Vernon Kay hosts a brand new series of All Star Family Fortunes. The classic game show, which started on ITV in 1979, sees two celebrities and their families go head-to-head in a bid to win £30,000 for the charity of their choice.

Some of the nations favourite celebrities and their families will compete for the top prize of £30,000, but only if they get more than 200 points and all of the top answers.

This series adds a ‘through the keyhole’ element where the viewer gets to see around the celebs’ houses and guess whose home it is.

Kicking off, episode one sees Coronation Street’s favourite barmaid Kym Marsh up against Hell’s Kitchen’s Brian Dowling. Helping Kym is her Mum, Dad, brother and sister. Brian decides his family and best friend would help him compete for the £30,000 for his charity.

Also up for grabs in episode one are a cruise holiday and a tank driving experience.

When asked to name a type of bean a panicked Brian screams ‘lesbian!’ Vernon explains to Dowling the question was a ‘bean’ and not a ‘queen’.

Viewers will see the celebrities and their families put under pressure as they face the One Hundred People Surveyed Said… and Double Your Money rounds. But which of the families will have enough top answers to go through to the Big Money round to win the potential £30,000?

The teams will be hoping they’re remembered for their performances rather than any bizarre answers which over the years have included ‘Naomi Campbell’ when asked to name a bird with a long neck, and ‘a sheep’ in response to the question “name something made of wool”!
