Emmerdale heartthrob Kelvin Fletcher has been at the centre of dramatic storylines in Emmerdale and is continuing to excite audiences as he becomes the latest celebrity to compete in Beat The Star.

This week’s show will see Kelvin go head to head with IT consultant Mick Mason from Longfield, Kent in a range of challenges which aim to push the players to their limits. Seven different games made up of physical and mental challenges right through to the downright quirky and daring will see this weeks contestants face to face in a basketball showdown, taking their driving skills to the max in a go-karting challenge and getting hands on by guessing the plastic farm animals while blindfolded.

35-year-old Mick is confident of his physical and mental ability and believes he can solve any problem that comes his way. Kelvin, who is better known as Emmerdale farmer Andy Sugden is a self confessed daredevil and is welcoming the challenge of Beat The Star.

With £50,000 at stake for Mick and pride and reputation on the line for Kelvin there is everything to play for.

Each of the challenges will be a complete surprise to the players giving them only seconds to prepare. Host Vernon Kay will be on hand to explain each round and encourage both contestants throughout. Will Kelvin’s acting skills come in handy as nerves take hold?

If Mick succeeds he will pocket £50,000 but if he is outplayed by Kelvin the prize money will roll over until next weeks prize fund when a new celebrity and challenger come face to face in Beat The Star. Will Micks mental agility place him as a winner or will Kelvins fearless attitude be the true decider?

Stars who will be appearing later in the series include Greg Rusedski and Martina Navratilova.
