Well it’s official; I can’t stand Angel. Watching her stealing Siavash’s photo last night just showed what an unpleasant person she is, and it got worse when Noirin caught her nicking her hairbrush and yet worse again when Angel started insulting Noirin, telling her she looked “three months pregnant”.

And when she later asked Marcus why he thought she’d been nominated and he replied that one of the reasons was because of her stealing, she replied, “I’d kill for the art”. She was obviously implying that she wanted Siavash’s photo to add to the collage she was making but in my book, “art” isn’t an excuse for stealing.

He also told her that she was probably nominated because she’d been telling all the girls – but especially her love interest Noirin – that they were fat, even though she kept denying that’s what she’d said. She may not have used the actual F word but she implied as much.

Mind you, I thought Noirin was a tad obvious when she told Lisa that she hadn’t eaten and implied it was because Angel had said she was fat; she was clearly trying to stir things. She’s a strong willed personality and I’m sure it would take more than Angel’s opinion of her to make her feel insecure. I suspect it was in fact aimed at getting Lisa and other housemates to nominate Angel. If it was, it worked because pretty much everyone who nominated Angel did so because of Fat-Gate. However, the stealing thing was also an issue and rightly so.

But, on the subject of Noirin, she’s beginning to irritate me a bit. As Marcus rightly observed in last night’s show, she’s being very bossy and taking on the role of Queen of Everything. As he also pointed out, it’s not going to make her very popular. That said, I don’t know how she resisted telling Angel to p off when she told Noirin that she only remarked on her stomach because she’d stopped exercising. I would’ve told her to stop feeling like she’s got any right to comment on my physique.

I felt bad for Halfwit last night though because while he was telling Angel that it was wrong of her to say those things to Noirin, the lady herself saw him cuddling Angel and assumed he was “sucking up” to her when he was actually defending Noirin. And I also thought it was nice of him to not do that in public as it were. He could’ve won himself some housemate brownie points by chastising Angel in front of everyone else – given they were all disliking her – but he didn’t, so well done to him.

Anyway, tonight’s the night – who goes? You decide! Needless to say, my vote will be going to Angel… several times
