BB10: Day 25 Highlights

I’m beginning to think that this year’s BB tasks are becoming truly sadistic; running in a sack full of nettles? Rolling over plugs?? What’s next? Lorry catching on the M1? Juggling with hand grenades? Eek!

The Extreme Sports Day task certainly brought out the worst in many of them didn’t it? Karly it turns out is very competitive; she didn’t like it when Sree lost did she? Kris wasn’t overly chuffed either while Siavash I thought took it in the spirit of true gamesmanship and just wanted to have a laugh.

Sree’s attitude afterwards was yet more evidence of his annoyingness. He wasn’t sulking about losing I don’t think, it was, yet again, about Noirin’s closeness with his arch enemy Marcus who didn’t help when he said that “any team with Sree in it wouldn’t win.” True but a tad harsh.

And talking of house romance, is anyone, anywhere buying into Kris’s whole “I’ll only end up hurting her” routine? Because I’m not. There’s clearly just no attraction between him and Sophie and they both seem to be desperately searching for some little spec of appeal in each other and not finding it. Sophie reckoned she didn’t talk to Kris all day because he wasn’t talking to her and he said the same… grow up! If there was anything remotely genuine there, both would’ve behaved differently but there isn’t, so when one backed off, the other wasn’t at all bothered. I just wish they’d let it go and stop flogging that very dead horse.

On to Halfwit and the fact that he’s more easily wound-up than a tin monkey. When Kris and Karly came out of the diary room with a plan to wind him up by pretending they were going to give all their tokens for booze, he of course had a flid, as they knew he would. He went into one of his “no way man” whines, much to their amusement. And it got worse when Siavash told him that it was in fact just a wind up; he berated Siavash for winding him up and said they shouldn’t do it because it “brings out all the things people don’t like in me.” Boo hoo.

Anyway, before that little row erupted, the losers in the form of Sree, Siavash, Karly, Kris and Halfwit looked in at the others enjoying their school disco party with envy. I hate when they do that, and they do it every year. It’s humiliating and rather pathetic.

The way Karly went on and on about wanting a doughnut and sweets, you’d think she’d never had such a thing in her life before. They always but always begrudge the ones who get the party and it never seems to occur to them that they’d be equally as uncaring about the losers were they the ones who’d won.

Anyway, after the wind-Halfwit-up ‘fun’, then came Kris’s ordering him about for which he deserved a bit of a slap if you ask me. I could entirely sympathise with the fact that Halfwit wasn’t about to be told what to do by the Jesus lookalike. I wouldn’t have it either. Instead of asking Halfwit politely to do the dishes, he just instructed him. I’d have told him to shove his commands where the sun doesn’t shine.

And when Halfwit asked Kris outright what his problem with him was, he couldn’t answer in an intelligent way and instead resorted to pettily saying “you’re just annoying”. Good come back Kris… not!

Anyway, yesterday was nominations day again and this week, I’m really not sure who might be up. I’m pretty sure Sree will be again but will Halfwit be joining him to make it four in a row? We’ll find out later!

See you tomorrow!
