I was sooooooooo glad to see Angel go on Friday! No more weirdness and no more dribbling or doing that annoying ‘brrrrrrrrrrrrr’ thing she did which other housemates begged her to stop. No more stealing for her ‘art’… what a load of BS that was! And with a whopping 81% of us voting her out, Halfwit got to stay yet again.

Halfwit rehearses his role in Valkyrie
I must say, since he’s stopped doing his singing in people’s faces and stopped doing the “Yeah man, like, wow, I love life and aren’t bunnies just super?” and other hairy-fairy stuff, he’s become infinitely more likeable. I assume he probably recognised that his lovey-weirdness and singing opera for no good reason was getting him votes, so he’s gone on the down low recently and it’s certainly having a positive effect, for me anyway. Where at one time I couldn’t stand to hear him or see him, I’m now finding him quite a nice guy.
Anyway, as ever, it’s been a pretty eventful weekend with Sree and Noirin’s rows at the heart of the action. I don’t think I’ve ever known someone to be so persistently dogged in his determination as Sree is. He’s still following her around, still touching her all the time, still mithering and generally acting like a lovesick cling-on. He’s still jealous of Marcus’s closeness with Noirin and still going out of his way to protest he isn’t. The man is the dictionary definition of annoying.
Mind you, Noirin’s getting a bit over confident of late and its bringing out a less then pleasant side to her. Her ordering people about and general bossiness in the last few days is a side that’s she’d kept well hidden, and it’s not pretty. However, getting back to Sree, one of the best laughs I’ve had in a while is him telling Halfwit to stop “eating my brains”.
In case you didn’t see it, it all started when Freddie tried to stop Sree using about a ton of garlic and tried to explain that they needed some for the following week. Sree wasn’t having any of it and waffled on unintelligibly – as usual – and refused to put half the garlic back. It was hilarious… here’s a clip of their row.
And it wasn’t Sree’s only row over the weekend. He also got into at least two with Noirin about his obsession with her. The housemates were given booze and music in return for a token, and during the party, he kept having little digs at her, especially over Marcus. Here’s a clip from just one of their rows…
He just wouldn’t let it lie would he?
Moving onto other news and Lisa’s shaved her head and looks hideous...

"I've gorra good head of skin 'aven't I?"
She looks more like a bulldog now than ever before!
Also, talk about who’s got a gameplan and who hasn’t has raged all weekend and – just like housemates every single year – it doesn’t seem to occur to any of them that they’re on what amounts to a game show, so why are they all shocked and horrified that people are “playing a game”?
Halfwit reckons some of the housemates are sheep, others shepherds and yet more wolves while Lisa says Halfwit’s got the biggest gameplan and lots of them think Sree’s just a big gamer… jeez, change the record, please! Yesterday, Halfwit and Siavash decided that Noirin has a gameplan too. You can see a clip of them discussing it here.
Finally, yesterday, the housemates had to compete in an Extreme School Sports Day in which they had to split into two teams with Marcus as referee and compete in egg and spoon races, sack races and relays. Noirin’s team – which didn’t include Sree – won and were treated to a party for their efforts which didn’t go down well with Sree and he spent most of the afternoon sulking which really got on Marcus’s nerves.

"We won begorra!"
Mind you, Noirin winning was a foregone conclusion when we learned that Marcus had to choose a winner, and he didn’t help Sree’s mood when he said, “any team with Sree in wouldn't win.” Oucha magoucha.
Marcus later added, "I'm not being nasty, but I'm not happy with how Sree's behaving. He's bringing the whole House down. He's just being a **** because he didn't win.”
However, Noirin said she felt sorry for him - which was a bit of a turn up for the books - and reckoned that he was feeling down, so it was left to Charlie to cheer him up, which took some doing apparently but he succeeded in the end. We’ll get to see all that tomorrow night.
In the meantime, have a great day, don’t get fried in the heatwave and I’ll see you same time, same place tomorrow!
