So, today’s is the final of BB, and hasn’t it come around fast?! It doesn’t seem like more than a couple of weeks since housemates took their first steps into the Big Brother house. In fact, some of the early housemates have already faded from memory, until the memory of them is jogged...
Remember Bienazir who was the first to be evicted? And Cairon who said “innit” and spoke as though he was from the ghettos of New York? Then there was the hideously annoying Sophia and her arch enemy Saffia who very stupidly walked because Kris was flirting with Sophie? I bet she’s been wishing ever since that she had a third leg so she could more comfortably kick herself up the backside…
There’s been romance too for Kris and Sophie - but what's she going to do about her hair, or lack of, tonight??! - and Siavash and Noirin and Noirin and Sree and Noirin and Marcus and Noirin and Isaac… well, you know what they say, made round to go round… nuff said. Though to be fair, Noirin did nothing to encourage Stalker Sree; he just became fixated with her from the get go, bless him.

They’ve certainly been entertaining this year, that can’t be denied. Everyone from raw egg eating and gender confused Angel to I-Can’t-Talk-Quietly-I’m-From-Yorkshire David who’s so down to earth, I suspect he actually bleeds soil.
We’ve had womanising rich boy Kenneth who was almost universally disliked, and who could forget Hira… well, almost everyone actually, given that she was about as interesting as woodchip.
I think it’s a shame that Freddie didn’t make it to the final though because if anyone truly earned a place in it, it was him. He really went through the full gamut of human emotion while in the house. We saw him weeping, falling in love, being shunned then being accepted, then shunned again. He was a bit mental but fiercely loyal and very much a heart-on-sleeve sort of bloke who Queen Bea reduced to rubble.
And although I was glad to see the back of Marcus in the end – because I was sick of his catarrh snorting and non-stop swearing – he too should by rights have been in the final. If he’d not been so piggin’ irritating in his last week or so, he probably would’ve been.
So we’re down to Charlie, Rodrigo, Sophie, Siavash and David. During last night’s highlights show, I really thought Siavash was going to walk, and it would be THE stupidest thing to do if he did. But, one thing with Siavash is that he does usually do what he says he’s going to do, so it was a bit of a nail biter when he was talking to Biggie and seemed pretty determined to go.
But with the final being just hours away now, I still can’t decide who I want to win, so I suspect I’m going to vote for Siavash, Rodrigo and Sophie. I do know I definitely don’t want Charlie to win; he’s overplayed the little boy card and he’s losing his grip during the last stretch on his nice guy routine.
And as much as I’ve come to like David, he can’t win because he hasn’t done the full time in the house...
It’s been a pleasure reporting on BB to you and I thank everyone who’s regularly read my column. I’ll be back on Monday, but not with my BB hat on…
Have a great weekend and enjoy the final tonight
