Andy Fickman's comedy, lightly based on Shakespeare's Twelfth Night , stars Amanda Bynes as Viola, twin sister of Sebastian (James Kirk). When he plays truant for two weeks from his boarding school, she takes the chance to impersonate him and achieve her ambition of playing soccer for the boys' team, rather than the girls' team at her school. Her disguise works well, fooling even coach Dinklage (Vinnie Jones), but matters get more complicated when Olivia (Laura Ramsey) becomes attracted to her as Sebastian, particularly since Viola's roommate Duke (Channing Tatum) is attracted to Olivia.

Sunshine

Danny Boyle's science fiction epic is set 50 years in the future. The sun is dying, Earth suffers a perpetual winter and humanity's only hope is a spaceship that will deliver an atomic device into the heart of the sun to 'kickstart' it again. Icarus II (Icarus I, a previous attempt, went missing years after launch) is captained by Kaneda (Hiroyuki Sanada), with Capa (Cillian Murphy) a physicist and Corazon (Michelle Yeoh), in charge of the ship's environment. But as Icarus II approaches Mercury, it begins to receive signals from Icarus I, and when they board the supposedly lost craft, they encounter an entity that endangers the whole mission.

Danny Boyle's charming comedy crime caper stars Alex Etel as Damian, aged seven, who finds a sack stuffed with ?265,000 of stolen money in his playhouse in the garden. He's convinced it's a gift from God and should be used for good deeds. His older brother Anthony (Lewis McGibbon), all of nine, knows, however, that Britain is about to convert to the Euro and they have just days to use it or lose it.

Danny Boyle's horror (which he introduces) stars Cillian Murphy as Jim, one of the few people unaffected by a plague that has turned most of the country into blood-crazed zombies. He and a small band of survivors group together in London and prepare for the most dangerous journey of their lives: to try to reach a military stronghold in Manchester.

Danny Boyle's film stars Leonard Di Caprio as Richard, a free-spirited traveller who ends up in Bangkok. Frustrated by the sameness of the western experience in the city, he is intrigued when traveller Daffy (Robert Carlyle) tells him of an island paradise. Equipped with a map, and accompanied by French couple Francoise and Etienne (Virginie Ledoyen and Guillaume Canet), the trio eventually find the titular beach, a commune benevolently ruled by Sal (Tilda Swinton).

But the pair fall into the hands of Captain Stanley (Ray Winstone), a British police officer determined to bring law and order to Australia. He offers Charlie a proposition: hunt down and kill Arthur, or Mikey will hang.

Adam Sandler stars in Frank Coraci's comedy as Bobby Boucher, the waterboy of a top Louisiana university American football team. Fired, he gets hired by coach Klein (Henry Winkler) of the Mud Dogs, a team on a 40-game winning streak. But when Bobby reveals a hidden talent for football, he's offered the chance to lead the team to glory and a chance to get one over the team who sacked him at the championship game.

Bill Condon's film follows the adventures of The Dreamettes, an all-girl singing group. They're going nowhere fast, until they meet fast-talking car salesman-come-manager Curtis Taylor Jr (Jamie Foxx), who has ambitions to make a fortune selling black music to a white audience. He persuades them to become backing singers for rising star James 'Thunder' Early (Oscar-nominated Eddie Murphy) but the larger-than-life lead singer Effie White (Oscar-winning Jennifer Hudson) must step out of the spotlight in favour of the more image-friendly Deena Jones (Beyoncé Knowles).

Michael Douglas stars in Gary Fleder's taut thriller as psychiatrist Nathan Conrad, who specialises in probing the minds of catatonic patients to release them from their state. His daughter Jessie (Skye McCole Bartusiak) is kidnapped as a bargaining tool by Patrick Koster (Sean Bean) who needs Conrad to unlock the mind of comatose teenager Elisabeth Burrows (Brittany Murphy) and 'extract' a number he needs.

Tony Scott's fast-moving movie starring Keira Knightley is loosely based on the real life story of Domino Harvey (played by Keira Knightley), daughter of movie star Laurence. Despite her background, she opts for a career as a bounty hunter and teams up with mentor Ed Moseby (Mickey Rourke) and the slightly unhinged Choco (Edgar Ramirez) to track down and bring in - by any means legal - those wanted by the law.
