Sell Me The Answer Premiere on Sky1 and Sky1 HD

This November, Sky1 HD promises to have you glued to your TV sets as the channel makes its launch into daytime television. Following the start of ANGELA & FRIENDS on Monday 9 November, ex Blue Peter presenter Gethin Jones will present a great new and innovative quiz show called SELL ME THE ANSWER.

The stakes are high in this game of all or nothing that packs a powerful punch. This fast-paced and fresh quiz show will leave you wondering just who you can trust when everyone is out for themselves.

SELL ME THE ANSWER will see contestants working alongside a 60 strong- pool of ‘Traders’ as they attempt to win up to £25,000 in prize money.  Every episode Gethin will ask the contestant up to ten questions, each worth an increasing amount of cash. If the contestant does not know the answer they are invited to shout out to the ‘Traders’ to “Sell me the answer!”

Naked Britain Premieres on Sky1 and Sky HD

Get set to find out whether Britons are still a nation of prudes or can’t wait to get nude in revealing Sky1 documentary NAKED BRITAIN. This three part series strips Britain bare and dissects its attitudes to nudity. Psychologists Jack Lewis and Anjula Mutanda will travel up and down the country on a mission to find out if Britannia lives up to her prudish reputation: does the birthday suit trigger bouts of blushing, or has this stereotype gone stale?

Sky1 HD Sign James Corden Jamie Redknapp And Stuart Broad

Sky1 HD today (Tuesday 20 October, 2009) announced further details on one of its two brand new sporting panel show pilots.

CPL Productions will produce A LEAGUE OF THEIR OWN (w/t 1x30) where England’s Number One fan and Gavin & Stacey star JAMES CORDEN will referee proceedings. The brand new format will see Ashes hero and Nottingham Forest fan STUART BROAD and former England footballer and Sky Sports presenter JAMIE REDKNAPP line up as team captains.

Modern Family Premieres on Sky1 and Sky1HD

On October 15, brand new comedy sitcom MODERN FAMILY will find its home on Sky1 HD and Sky1. From the Emmy® award-winning writers of Frasier, the mockumentary style series centres around three very different American family units who are being followed by a film crew. It quickly becomes apparent that they are anything but the husband + wife + 2.4 children.

Lie To Me Season 2 Premieres on Sky1 HD and Sky1

Lightman heads up a private agency contracted by the FBI, local police, law firms, corporations and private individuals when they've hit a roadblock on their searches for the truth. Kelli Williams (The Practice) stars as Dr. Gillian Foster, a gifted psychologist and Lightman's professional partner. Brendan Hines (Terminator: The Sarah Connor Chronicles) and Monica Raymund (Law and Order SVU) also star as Lightman's lead researcher Eli Loker and the newest recruit Ria Torres respectively. Loker is so uncomfortable with the human tendency to lie that he practices "radical honesty," meaning he says everything on his mind at all times. Torres, on the other hand, is one of the few "naturals" in the field of deception detection.

Bones Season 5 Premiere on Sky1

Created by Hart Hanson and inspired by real-life forensic anthropologist and best-selling novelist Kathy Reichs, BONES follows forensic anthropologist Dr Temperance Brennan (Deschanel) and FBI Agent Seeley Booth’s (Boreanaz) work at the Jeffersonian institute solving crimes when the bodies are so badly decomposed, burned or destroyed that only the victim’s bones can provide clues to their fate.

With a sizzling chemistry that sets the screen alight, Brennan, with her scientific acumen, and Booth, with his former Army sniper training and people-smarts, make the perfect team, but as season five begins their relationship faces a number of new challenges. After suffering with hallucinations at the end of season four, Booth was diagnosed with a brain tumour requiring urgent surgery, during which he had a vivid dream in which he and Brennan were married and ran a nightclub. On waking from surgery Booth’s memory has been badly affected and he doesn’t know who Brennan is.

House Season 6 Premiere on Sky1 HD

Arriving on Sky1 HD earlier this year, HOUSE has cemented itself as a firm favourite with the channel’s viewers. Packed full of sarcastic witticisms from the eponymous grouchy yet genius medic, season five saw Dr Gregory House (Laurie) continue to unravel the most unusual of medical complaints (ruling out lupus each time); but a turning point came when team member Lawrence Kutner (Kal Penn) took his own life. As House struggled with his feelings about the suicide, his addiction to pain medication began to spiral out of control. Soon he was hallucinating about conversations with the deceased Amber (Anne Dudek) and as the series built to its finale a drug induced episode led House to hallucinate he had a passionate sexual encounter with love interest and sparring partner Dr Lisa Cuddy (Lisa Edelstein). As the season concluded, Wilson (Robert Sean Leonard) took House to a psychiatric institution.

NCIS: Los Angeles Coming To Sky 1 and Sky HD

On October 21, NCIS: LOS ANGELES, starring Chris O’Donnell (Circle of Friends, Grey’s Anatomy) and LL Cool J (House, 30 Rock) will make its debut on Sky1 HD and Sky1. The drama comes to Sky1 HD following a huge debut in the US, where it attracted a record number of viewers.

UK Border Force Series 2 Premiere on Sky1 HD And Sky1

UK BORDER FORCE returns to Sky1 HD revealing new challenges faced by the staff on the front line of immigration control and providing viewers with a fascinating insight into a typically unseen world. The second series of UK BORDER FORCE comprises ten one hour episodes and will start on Sky1 HD and Sky 1 on Monday 7th September at 9pm.
