Gail (Helen Worth) has arrived back from hospital and David (Jack P Shepherd) is nervous that she's going to remember everything once she sees the scene of the accident. Still suspicious, Audrey (Sue Nicholls) takes the opportunity to question Tina (Michelle Keegan) while David’s out. Tina struggles to maintain her calm as Audrey asks her about the alibi she gave David. Scared, Tina reacts angrily, but Audrey calmly tells her she knows how persuasive David can be and it’s not too late to tell the truth. Will Tina buckle under the pressure?

Despite Kirk’s (Andrew Whyment) best intentions, Fiz (Jennie McAlpine) is growing ever more impatient with Kirk as he gets in her way at every turn. Pouring her heart out to Maria (Samia Smith), Fiz explains she feels torn. Seeing Ches (Sam Aston) happy means the world to her but she can’t live with Kirk. Fiz feels terrible when Maria reminds her that Kirk looked after Chesney for months while Fiz enjoyed her love nest with John. Maria understands how hard it must be for Fiz and after discussing it with Liam (Rob James-Collier) decides to buy Kirk a flight to Cyprus to visit his mum. However, Maria despairs when she mentions the idea to Kirk who’s touched but is worried that Fiz won’t be able to cope with Chesney in his absence! How will Fiz and Maria get Kirk out of the way without hurting his feelings?

Leanne (Jane Danson) apologises to Dan (Matthew Crompton) for slapping him in the pub, but reminds him that she doesn’t want to do anything to ruin her plan. At the restaurant later that day, she gains Paul’s (Tom Hudson) sympathy and tells him that she's had a mad idea. Feigning anxiety, Leanne hints at the beginnings of a plan and, eager to please, Paul promises to back anything she decides. Will Paul go this far for Leanne?

At the Rovers, Vernon's builders get underway with erecting the smoking shelter.
