Harry (Jack Ellis) tries to persude Dan (Matthew Crompton) that he and Liz (Beverly Callard) are 100% platonic but Dan is less than convinced. Meanwhile, Liz lies to Steve and tells him that she needs him to cover for her as Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) needs her help. Dressed to the nines Liz arrives at Deirdre's to ensure she'll be her alibi before heading off to meet Harry. However, she panics that she's overdone the outfit and changes before going to Harry's flat. He puts her at her ease but it is evident that he fancies her. Sorely tempted, Liz manages to tear herself away but it is clear she is smitten.

Sally (Sally Whittaker) is delighted when the survey for the Peacocks' house shows subsidence in the conservatory. Armed with this information she tells Claire (Julia Haworth) that the deal is off unless she lowers the price. Claire is gutted - will she agree to lower the price?

Molly (Vicky Binns) is determined to remove the stone cladding and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) finds himself outvoted as even Jack (Bill Tarmey) agrees with her. Meanwhile Paul (Tom Hudson) returns from his solicitor with news about the possible sentence he is facing.

Becky (Katherine Kelly) is sick of drinking on her own and decides Jason (Ryan Thomas) has had the silent treatment for long enough. Jason is slow to catch on but finally realises that he is being invited back to Becky's gaff. Roy (David Neilson) is less than impressed when he returns home to find Becky taking Jason to her bedroom.

Elsewhere Leanne (Jane Danson) tries to curry favour with Michelle (Kym Ryder) by offering to hold the fort so Michelle and Steve (Simon Gregson) can spend some time together.

This episode is written by Mark Burt and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. The producer is Kim Crowther.
