Liz (Beverly Callard) is full of the joys of spring and Harry (Jack Ellis) is also in a good mood but he insists to Dan (Matthew Crompton) that he and Liz are just mates. Dan is sceptical especially when he discovers that Liz is going round to the flat again later. Over a game of darts in the Rovers he 'lets slip' to Steve (Simon Gregson) that Harry and Liz had dinner last night and are getting cosy in the flat. Outraged, Steve heads round to the flat to have it out with Liz - what will he find?

The builders have begun work on removing the cladding and Tyrone (Alan Halsall) mourns its passing but Jack (WIlliam Tarmey) and Molly (Vicky Binns) are happy to see the back of it. However things don’t go quite to plan and it looks as though Tyrone might get his way after all!

Claire (Julia Haworth) thinks about the valuation of her house and puruses the Websters' fixtures and fittings list thoughfully. Sally (Sally Whittaker) smells a rat when Claire asks if she can come round to clarify a few points and starts crossing items off the list.

House problems are also dominating the Barlows' thoughts when the lounge ceiling springs a leak. Ken (William Roache) hastily calls a plumber but it looks as though it is going to be quite a big job and could be a while before they are able to use the bathroom. Blanche (Maggie Jones) however is sceptical of Roger's abilities.

Elswhere Paul starts to realise that he is not welcome in Weatherfield.
