Liz (Beverly Callard) is not happy with Steve (Simon Gregson) for interfering in her business but he's not fooled when she protests her innocence. However she is keen to prove that she's not cheating on Vernon (Ian Reddington) and even heads off to have one of her wedding photos enlarged. Later she tells Harry (Jack Ellis) that she wants to cool things off a bit. With Clarissa (Alexandra Boyd) starting to cause him more problems, Harry agrees.

Ashley (Steven Arnold) and Kevin (Michael Le Vell) despair over the behaviour of their wives as the bickering over the house swap continues. Both men agree to keep the women apart to try and get things moving. But despite their best efforts it looks as though neither Sally (Sally Whittaker) or Claire (Julia Haworth) will back down.

Paul (Tom Hudson) is brooding over his future and Molly (VIcky Binns) is worried when he says he may not turn up for his trial. She tells him that he should warn Jack (WIlliam Tarmey) if he intends to run away but Paul swears her to secrecy and starts checking out possible flights.

With the work on the leak underway, Deirdre (Anne Kirkbride) decides it might be the perfect opportunity to install a new bathroom suite and ask Roger (Andrew Dunn) to cost up the work.

Elsewhere Leanne (Jane Danson) is bored with working at the bookies and gets herself another part time job selling the new flats.

This episode is written by Peter Whallley and directed by Terry Dyddgen-Jones. The producer is Kim Crowther.
