Dive To The Bottom Of The World

Sunday 14th March, 8.00pm

On the floor of the Pacific Ocean lies a point on the sea bed so deep that if Mount Everest stood upon it there would still be a mile of water above its summit. This is Challenger Deep. Now, the Woods Hole Oceanographic Institution has assembled a team of scientists and engineers to dive down into these eerie depths using a unique vessel called the Hybrid Remotely Operated Vehicle. What incredible creatures will they discover, and can this experiment give an insight into the mysterious workings of the earth?
