The BBC has received nearly 200 complaints after showing a pregnant woman being tortured on EastEnders.

The scene, which showed Dawn Swann chained to a bed and threatened with a scalpel and told she would be forced to have a caesarean by Dr May Wright, was watched by 9.3million people

Dawn, who is pregnant by the GP's husband Rob Minter, eventually managed to escape after grabbing the scalpel Dr May planned to use in the attack.
