EastEnders scooped no less than three awards at Birmingham’s International Film Festival recently. Tiana Benjamin won Best UK Actress for her portrayal of Chelsea Fox and Rudolph Walker, who stars as Patrick Trueman, was handed a Lifetime Achievement Award.
EastEnders was also awarded Best UK Drama with a Black or Ethnic Cast.
Tiana said later, "I'm really grateful to get this recognition and thank you to all those who have voted. Its much appreciated."

And it seems EastEnders Adam Croasdell, who plays Dr Al, will be appearing as James Bond in the latest 007 video game. Adam said he was “thrilled” that he landed the role as he’s “keen” to keep his career moving in as many directions as possible.
Speaking to the BBC’s Asian Network, Adam said, "Oddly enough, I’ve just played James Bond in the new James Bond video game; how weird is that?
“I don't know what the future holds, but I'm always into varying up what comes my way, trying new things.
"I think video games and the making of that type of technology, being in a funny one-piece suit and being shot with 60 cameras, I think that's sort of the future.
"Andy Serkis did it in The Hobbit, and there's a new film Avatar which is James Cameron - it's all that sort of motion capture.
“I think it's the future, so I was fascinated to see how that would happen.
"I think in our lifetime it’s going to swing very much into the realms of computerised environments and who knows, maybe there will be more of that."
Activision the release of the new Bond game in August and it’s expected to be released on sale next year.
