The News of the World reports that the scenes in which Boris Johnson appeared in EastEnders had to be toned down due to the overt flirting that was originally written in for Johnson and Peggy Mitchell.
The original script had Peggy saying that she fancied Johnson – like that would ever happen – and revealing that she would gladly be "the next Mrs Johnson." However, according to the paper, the writers decided to tone down the conversation in order that it more befit the ‘politician’s’ status as a married man with four children. He’s still a dork, no matter what.
In other cast news, Patsy Palmer – who of course plays Bianca Jackson – has told Inside Soap magazine that she wants the characters of David Wicks and Dan Sullivan to return to the show for her character's wedding to Ricky Butcher early next year.
Patsy also said that she was “delighted” when told that her on-screen family, consisting of mum Carol, brothers Robbie and Billie and sister Sonia are all returning for Bianca and Ricky’s wedding.
Patsy told the magazine, "I'd love David back – Michael’s great.
"I also want to see Bianca's ex Dan Sullivan return. But I'm a bit selfish; the only stories I can think of for them are about me!"
Ricky and Bianca will get married for the second time in February which will coincide with the show’s 25th anniversary. However, the storyline will start at Christmas when Ricky and Bianca grow close again.
