Ex-EastEnders actress Kacey Ainsworth, who played Little Mo, has said that she's “happy to be associated” with the show.
Kacey left EastEnders to spend more time with her young children in 2004. When the PA asked her if she still gets called Little Mo by members of the public, she said, "Yes, but I don't mind being associated with it. It’s not something I'm embarrassed of.
"I always had nice feedback from it, so as an actor you have to say if you have one character in your whole career that sticks in people's minds you've done an amazing job."
Kacey compared her situation to that of Prunella Scales with whom she’s currently starring alongside in the play Carrie's War.
She said, "People always talk to her about Fawlty Towers but she did six episodes of that programme.
“She says it's a wonderful thing to be associated with a character that stuck in people's minds all this time.
“She's very proud of it and I feel much the same about Little Mo. I thought she was a lovely character, she was a labour of love, created over long period of time."
In other cast news, Daniella Westbrook has revealed that she returned to EastEnders “for closure” on the character and role that she began in 1990.

She’ll appear on our screens for the last time tonight. She told The Mirror, "It's where I feel I belong. For me EastEnders was unfinished business. It was great to be asked back - I wanted closure.
"They've never recast a character, then invited back the original actress. I've had so much fun and the cast are a great bunch."
When asked how she felt about the criticism she received when returning to the show, Daniella said, "I think they expected me to come back looking like I did when I was in my 20s.
"They've said I look old and called me the Bride of Chucky - I've even been compared to a burns victim. But, you know what, I don't care.
"People will say things about you, but as an actor you have to develop a thick skin. You can't worry about it all. I'm 36 and I've been through a lot.
“I'm nine years clean and sober and that's what counts.Sam is meant to look tanned and brassy. I don't go to Tesco with curlers in my hair, false eyelashes and a Dynasty hairdo! It just doesn't happen.
“But I think Sam looks awesome - that's part of her character."
