EastEnders ex-copper Jack Branning is going to be shot as part of a new shock storyline. The incident involves Billie Jackson who we’ll see over the coming weeks hiding a gun. And when Jack’s shot, we’ll be left wondering if Billie shot him or if it was someone else who has a grudge against Jack.
And as with the Archie murder storyline, there won’t be any shortage of suspects. It’s been suggested that perhaps one of his many ex-girlfriends will lose control and want him dead, or perhaps it’s revenge by someone he’s arrested in the past.
We’ll be left wondering whether Jack pulls through or not as he’s rushed to hospital.
A Walford source told the Daily Star, "During his time in the square he's made a number of enemies.
“But it could well be someone from his dodgy past that catches up with him. And then there's his love life.
“He's slept with sisters Ronnie and Roxy Mitchell, as well as their cousin Sam. So there's no reason why it couldn't be a crime of passion."
However, another EastEnders spokesperson added, "We never comment on future storylines."
Meanwhile, yet another EastEnders insider told Digital Spy, "Billie Jackson's back in Walford for a reason - and it soon becomes apparent that he's hiding a gun from his family.
“Could Billie be responsible? Is somebody else out for revenge? Or is it all an innocent mistake?"
The shocking scenes have already been filmed and will be on our screens around late March or early in April.
