Another Mitchell who’s doing all the clichés – walking on thin ice, playing with fire, etc etc – is Ronnie who next week decides it’d be a great idea to sleep with Owen!
Her desperation for a baby is clearly sending her doolally; why else would she want to get involved with a bloke who tried to kill his own daughter and is only just out of the nick for it?!
The couple get all jiggy with it after Ronnie tells Owen she doesn't hate him, unlike the rest of the Square’s residents, and Owen reveals to Ronnie that he tried to commit suicide in prison.
Later, Denise walks into the pub and demands to know what Owen's doing there. A tense standoff ensues which results in Owen breaking one of the beer pipes – don’t ask me how, I’ve no idea – and so Ronnie gives him one of Phil’s shirts as his own is soaked with booze.
As the pair continue their emotional chat from earlier, Ronnie opens up about Danielle and how much it hurts that she’s dead.
Before much longer, Ronnie takes Owen’s hand and leads him into the bedroom… Eek.
I know Ronnie loves a bad boy but even by her standards, this could be a quickie too far and make her about as popular on the Square as Owen is… and Denise won’t be best impressed either! More news on how that pans out as we get it!
