Fifi and the Flowertots: Painting Practice

Friday 10th July 8.00am

Continuing on Five this week is the popular preschool animation following the adventures of little flower girl Fifi Forget-Me-Not and her garden pals. As ever, Jane Horrocks provides the voice for the star of the show.

This time around, Flowertot Garden is a little busier thanks to the arrival of new characters Buttercup and Daisy, along with old favourites Primrose, Poppy, Violet, Bumble, Aunt Tulip, Stingo and Slugsy – plus many more. Twin sisters Buttercup and Daisy live in a beautifully converted milk bucket known as Milk Bucket House. While Buttercup is confident and impulsive, Daisy is shy and slightly clumsy. As the youngest residents of the garden, the pair rely on Fifi’s guidance to steer them through the complexities of horticultural life. But when Fifi is not around, the little twins always have their protective butterfly Flutterby to keep them company.

Created by ‘Bob the Builder’ originator and ‘Roary the Racing Car’ co-creator Keith Chapman, ‘Fifi and the Flowertots’ combines CGI and stop-motion animation to conjure up a delightful world that appeals to girls and boys alike.

In the eleventh instalment of the series, ‘Painting Practice’, Fifi wants to repaint her kitchen but Poppy has run out of paint. Can anybody else come up with an idea to brighten up her walls?
