Continuing on Five this week is the animation that follows the madcap antics of a group of animals in a colourful place called Funky Town. The action revolves around the Milk Bar, Funky Town’s very own café, run by Clara the bossy hen and Dippy the forgetful cow. Café regulars include Norris the naughty rat, Amadeus the wise old wolf, Chipolata the cream cake-loving pig, and many more equally zany animals.

In this morning’s episode, Norris follows the gang to Funky Beach in search of cheese sandwiches. But when he tries to escape by stealing the Funky Train, he is brought to a halt by leaves on the line.

In ‘Dippy Takes Charge’ on Tuesday, Clara needs a holiday, but is worried that Dippy will make a mess of the Milk Bar on her own. Needless to say, her fears are justified and things go from bad to worse when Dippy is arrested.

Wednesday’s instalment is ‘Messy Chipolata’, in which Clara orders Chipolata to tidy up her messy room. But once the job is done, Clara can’t find anything –not even Dippy!

On Thursday, in ‘Dippy and the Milky Way’, The Milky Way is missing, so Dippy and Chipolata take the space shuttle to make a new one with 5,000 litres of milk. Unfortunately, the sun bakes the milk into a giant cheese asteroid which threatens to land on the café.

And Friday’s episode, ‘Funky Carnival’, sees Dippy enter the Funky Festival, while Chipolata becomes a Milkshake Float.

These delightful five-minute tales are a spin-off from Five’s ‘Funky Valley’. The adorable farm animals from that series move to the town and embark on a whole new set of adventures, guaranteed to enchant and entertain.
