Calvin, Malachy, and Mercedes

Things are a little awkward between Malachy and Mercedes as Mercedes is somewhat suffocating Malachy by being with him 24/7.

Malachy just wants some time to himself but is struggling to get time alone whilst living and working with Mercedes.

As the day draws on at The Loft, Calvin tries chatting with India but is quickly knocked back by a clearly disinterested India.

Knocked back by India, Calvin walks into the office, and Mercedes is highly amused when she hears that Calvin has been turned down by a student.

Having a few problems of her own with Malachy right now, Mercedes starts chatting with Calvin, and their innocent chatting soon becomes something more as they share a kiss.

Disgusted with herself for kissing Calvin, Mercedes heads off home feeling incredibly guilty.

Rhys and Hayley

The students are surprised to discover Rhys has spent the night with Hayley, and although Hayley tells the others that it was just a drunken one night stand; Rhys clearly thinks that there’s more to it than that, and the others can see how he feels as he walks out of halls looking loved up.

Josh is angry with Hayley for leading Rhys on, Hayley doesn’t care what Josh has to say though, and has a few nasty words for him as she tells Josh that although Rhys may act like he’s god’s gift to women, Josh actually believes that he is, and that’s something far worse.

Josh is hurt by Hayley’s words and his disapproval merely makes Hayley more determined to try and make it work with Rhys.

Cindy and Tony

Feeling that it’s all work and no play these days, Cindy tells Tony her disappointment that they never seem to go out anymore, to which Tony responds by deciding to take Cindy out for the evening.

Excited to be going out for the first time in ages, Cindy begins to start getting ready, but when Tony agrees to help Tom out with his school project their night out is ruined and Cindy is forced to spend another night in.

Although Cindy is disappointed, Tony is excited to be able to help Tom out with his World War I project, and it gets him thinking about his great-grandfather’s role within the war.

With his great-grandfather on his mind, Tony decides to start planning for a World War I day at Il Gnosh.
