- Steph finds a love poem that Gilly has written about her
- Newt is shocked to return home from hospital and see Jake
- Amy says goodbye to Hollyoaks village
Gilly, Rhys, Steph, and Fernando
When Rhys sees that Gilly has written a poem about Steph, he gets Gilly to start reading it out loud for him.
As Gilly is reading out the poem, Steph enters the pub, and overhearing Gilly reading it out loud believes it to be a poem about Sarah.
Too embarrassed to keep reading it himself, Steph takes the poem from Gilly’s grasp, but is deeply disappointed when she spots her own name in the poem, and insults about Fernando.
Upset that Gilly could write such things, Steph storms out of the pub, and it seems that her friendship with Gilly is now officially over.
Catching up with Steph a little later in the village, Gilly is able to convince her that it was actually Rhys that wrote the poem, but things turn a little sour when Steph tells Fernando about the poem and what was written.
Later at The Dog, Steph and Fernando turn up demanding answers from Rhys, and Gilly quickly explains the situation to Rhys as he reveals that he told Steph that it was Rhys’ poem.
Now aware of what’s going on, Rhys pretends it was indeed him that wrote the poem, and repeats the insult from the poem at Fernando.
Fuming at the insult, Fernando punches Rhys in the face, and Fernando and Steph then proceed to storm out of the pub together.
Newt, Frankie, and Jake
Free from hospital, Newt is disappointed to arrive home only to find Jake there.
Alarmed that they’ve let Jake out, Newt’s return is completely spoiled as he struggles to come to terms with the fact that Jake is back in his life.
Heading out of the flat to get away for a while, Jack and Frankie are both feeling very worried when Newt is still yet to return home a lot later.
Heading out into the village, they spot that he’s up on the bridge, and rush up there to talk him down and get him to come home.
Jack whispers some words in Newt’s ear, and the three of them return back to the flat smiling.
Ste and Amy
Ste is pleased to have Amy back in the village, and is delighted when they’re able to spend a few hours together looking after Lucas and Leah.
Amy is still struggling to be in the company of her children, Ste tries to encourage her though, and when a few ingredients are needed for dinner, he heads out to the shop for a few minutes, leaving Amy alone to bond with the children.
Unable to handle the pressure of being alone with Leah and Lucas, Amy says her goodbyes to the two of them, and then heads off out of the flat as she leaves Hollyoaks village for one final time.
When Ste returns home with the ingredients he is clearly excited that they’re all soon to sit down and eat dinner together, when there’s no response from Amy and he finds Leah alone in the kitchen with a handful of spaghetti he realises that Amy’s left however, and breaks down in tears as he tries to come to terms with the situation.
