Lauren and Newt
As Newt and Lauren hang out at the skate park, Carmel approaches the two of them and kindly tells Newt that if he ever needs anyone to speak to then she’ll always be there if he needs her.
Not taking Carmel’s offer in the kind way it was intended, Newt is rude to Carmel, and then gets up and leaves with Lauren as Lauren is left feeling awkward about Newt’s behaviour towards Carmel.
As Newt takes off, in a moment of madness he decides to break into Relish as Lauren is dragged into the situation with him.
As Newt opens the door to enter the kitchen, he is surprised to find Ste hiding out alone in the building.
Ste seems as surprised to see them as they are to see him, and not wanting to get caught, Newt quickly runs off to escape.
A little later on, Lauren and Newt meet up again, and Lauren is surprised when Newt states that he wants to pay the woman that he mugged a visit in order to return her purse.
As Lauren takes a look at the purse, she is left feeling incredibly shocked when she discovers a picture of Rae in there.
Newt now definitely feels that he needs to pay the woman a visit, and goes to see her at her home.
Not recognising Newt at first, it quickly dawns on the woman that Newt is the one that mugged her the other week, and she begins screaming out for help, fearing that she may once again be in danger.
Newt explains that he doesn’t mean to alarm her and assures her that he merely wanted to return her purse.
Asking about Rae, the woman is left in absolute shock as Newt tells her that he saw Rae jump into the river and commit suicide.
Just as Newt’s telling the lady what he saw, the real Rae actually turns up back home, and Newt doesn’t know what to do as he turns round and sees Rae for the first time in the flesh.
Asked to leave, Newt runs off away from the house as he tries to piece together everything that’s happened.
Anita, Ste, and Theresa
With Newt and Lauren having discovered Ste hiding out in Relish, Ste has some questions to answer as Anita and Theresa begin to quiz him about having broken into the place.
Feeling that they need backup, Anita decides to give Ravi a call, leaving Ste feeling frightened about how Ravi is going to react when he arrives.
As Ravi turns up and asks Ste how long he’s been living in here and questions as to how much food he has eaten, Ravi gets an idea as Ste reels off the meals that he’s cooked for himself in the place.
Clearly impressed by Ste’s ability to cook, Ravi makes a quick phone call, and arranges to get Relish back up and running.
Ste is delighted when Ravi offers him a job as a chef, and it looks as though Relish is soon to be reopening.
Rhys and Gilly
With Steph and Fernando currently thinking that Rhys has a thing for Steph, Gilly has an idea to get them off his back, deciding that Rhys should display an interest in someone else to show them that he’s moved on.
As the two of them look around for a suitable woman for Rhys to focus his attentions on, they decide that Cheryl is the perfect woman for Rhys to attempt to woo.
After Rhys’ initial advances fail to work, Gilly convinces Rhys to try again, and he and Fernando watch on as Rhys once again attempts to flirt with Cheryl; for a second time Rhys’ efforts fail to work, and Cheryl is clearly not at all interested in him.
A little later on, Cheryl asks Gilly out on a date, and Gilly does indeed accept her offer.
