• Newt takes Rae to the site where he saw 'her' drown
• Cheryl and Gilly go out on a date together in the village
• Tom offers his flat with Steph over to the Roy family

Newt, Lauren, and Rae

Newt is determined to find out more about Rae, and shows up at her house with Lauren to show her that Rae really does exist.

Lauren tries to get through to Newt that ‘Rae’ showed up with him just after he mugged the woman, so a logical explanation is that he saw the photograph in the purse and ultimately made up an image of Rae in his mind.

Newt is unable to accept Lauren’s explanation for what happened with Rae, and is pleased when they meet up with her and Rae asks to be taken to the place where Newt insists he saw her die.

As the three of them begin to travel to the warehouse, Newt and Lauren have a falling out, and Lauren heads back home as Newt continues on to the warehouse with Rae.

When the pair of them arrive at the warehouse, Rae is seriously underwhelmed when she discovers that this is a place that she’s never before visited in her life, and questions Newt as to how she could have possibly died here when she’s quite clearly still alive.

As Newt has a flashback to the day that he tried to commit suicide, he remembers seeing ‘Rae’ float towards the light as he lost consciousness in the icy cold water of the river.

Realising that the Rae in his head was not the same Rae that he’s face to face with now, Newt places the purse on the ground, and runs off into the distance as it finally hits home that the Rae he spent time with at the warehouse, just like Eli, was a product of his schizophrenia.


Cheryl and Gilly

It’s the day of Gilly’s date with Cheryl, and although he originally intends to show up in his usual attire of jeans and a hoodie; Gilly is convinced by Fernando to make more of an effort, and borrows some of Fernando’s clothes to wear on the date.

Rhys is amused when Gilly walks into Drive N Buy, dressed in Fernando’s clothes, and Gilly is then off to see Cheryl, nervous to get underway with his date.

As Cheryl and Gilly meet for their date, things don’t go at all well for them as there’s absolutely no chemistry whatsoever between the two of them.

As Gilly starts telling Cheryl a disgusting story, she spots Calvin out of the corner of her eye, and starts laughing heavily as she attempts to make Calvin think that the date is going well.

With Cheryl trying to make Calvin jealous, Gilly spots Rhys, and he too is forced to try and make it look as though the date is going well.

Attempting to make the date look authentic, Gilly and Cheryl begin to kiss, but Cheryl is left feeling absolutely disgusted when Gilly’s false tooth comes out and finds its way into her mouth.


Tom, Steph, and Ravi

Upset that Steph doesn’t want them to move in with Frankie, Jack, and Newt, Tom is disappointed that Steph never even consulted him before making a decision about their living situation.

Tom is determined to get Steph to change her mind, Steph is adamant that they’ll be remaining in the flat however, much to the disappointment of Tom.

When Tom’s in Relish, he hears Ravi talking about wanting a place for he and his family to live, and offers Ravi the opportunity to move into his and Steph’s flat.

Ravi is delighted to have found somewhere to stay, when Steph finds out about what Tom’s told Ravi later that day however, she’s quick to point out that Tom can’t just go making people those sort of offers without her knowledge.

Realising that Tom offered them the flat without Steph’s consent, Ravi and the rest of the Roy’s realise that they won’t be able to move in, Tom points out to Steph that he technically owns half the flat however and his opinion should therefore be equally as important as hers.

Accepting that Tom has as much say in the matter as her, Steph agrees to rent the flat out to the Roy’s on a trial basis, and Ravi, Leila, and Anita are absolutely delighted that they’re once again going to be able to live together.

With the Roy’s now reunited, Ste is absolutely delighted when they offer him the opportunity to move into the flat also.
