- Archie finds out who has been prank calling him
- Newt looks to move on with his life with a change of appearance
- Jake gets a job as a bouncer at The Loft
Archie
Worried about the prank calls that he’s been receiving, Archie is suspicious of everyone he comes into contact with, accusing not only Charlotte and Lydia, but Elliot also.
Charlotte and Lydia both deny any knowledge of what Archie is on about, Elliot meanwhile is equally dismissive of Archie’s suspicions, and it quickly becomes clear that Elliot knows nothing about the calls either.
Archie is frustrated yet relieved when he finds out that it’s actually Dave that has been making the phone calls, when he returns to halls and finds a note attached to his door he is once again anxious however, and is now back to worrying about who’s out to scare him.
Newt
Jake tries to make conversation with Newt at the flat, Newt isn’t as willing to forgive him as Frankie is however, and dislikes comparisons that Jake makes between Newt and himself.
Getting out of the flat to get away from Jake, Newt still isn’t able to find particularly pleasant company as Theresa begins ranting off at him.
Still seeking answers, Newt once again pays Rae a visit, but Rae is not at all impressed when she finds Newt filming her.
With Rae threatening to call the police, Newt makes a move, and heads back into Hollyoaks village where he once more catches up with Theresa.
Theresa apologises for her behaviour earlier, and the two of them come some way towards getting their friendship back on track as they begin talking about things.
Having made progress with Theresa, Newt goes back to the flat, and when Jake offers to make some dinner for the pair of them, Newt gratefully accepts.
Newt is keen on making changes in his life, starting with repairing broken friendships, and continuing by having a change of hairstyle as he shaves his head.
Calvin, Darren, Jake, Sasha, and Malachy
Darren turns up at The Loft drunk demanding more alcohol, Malachy isn’t willing to serve him however, much to the frustration of Sasha.
Sasha doesn’t feel that they’re in any position to be turning down customers, and ultimately opts to serve Darren herself so as not to lose the business.
Darren is grateful to be served, Malachy meanwhile is clearly rather irritated by Darren’s smugness.
Jake turns up a little later, and it’s now time for the roles to be reversed as Malachy is pleased to see him, but Sasha doesn’t even want him in the place.
As Darren starts to cause a stir, Malachy has Darren removed from The Loft, and Jake helps out in order to get Darren home.
Malachy makes a suggestion to Calvin that Jake should be employed as a bouncer, and although Calvin doesn’t agree with the idea at first; he soon comes around to Malachy’s way of thinking, and realises that it perhaps wouldn’t be such a bad decision after all.
Jake is pleased when Calvin offers him the job, and accepts the position, much to the irritation of Sasha who doesn’t want Jake anywhere near The Loft, let alone working there.
Despite Sasha’s unhappiness at the decision to hire Jake as a bouncer, the decision stands, with Calvin taking a dominant role in the running of the business.
