This week, Bridget holds a promotional party for the Bait Shop in the hope of attracting new customers. During the party, talk turns to Bridget’s recovery from cancer. But Rachel is thrown when the feisty blonde says she had ovarian cancer. Rachel could have sworn Bridget had cervical cancer. Later, when Bridget drops her purse, a pile of cards falls out, each showing a different name. Is Alf’s new girlfriend all that she seems?
Elsewhere, Melody remains adamant that she wants to divorce her mother. Christine tries to guilt-trip her daughter into changing her mind, but Melody will have none of it. Later, as she is walking down the road with Geoff, Melody is bundled into a car and driven away. Geoff is stunned to see that Christine is at the wheel. What is Melody’s mother up to?

Has Christine lost her mind? Aden’s day in court arrives. The future looks brighter for Kirsty. Charlie and Morag continue to clash. Is Alf’s relationship with Bridget already over?
It is not only Melody who is behaving strangely this week. Christine has shunned traditional therapy for
her daughter in favour of prayer and focused study.
While visiting Melody at home, Geoff is shocked to see how his friend is living. He suggests to Christine
that she call in her priest to counsel Melody, and to his surprise, she agrees –but even the minister is
flabbergasted by Christine’s bizarre parenting style.
The final straw comes when Christine suggests he perform an exorcism. The priest refuses , so Christine resolves to conduct the ritual herself.
Determined to put a stop to it, Geoff calls Miles for help. The pair take a distraught Melody to Summer
Bay House where she makes a shocking announcement – she wants to divorce her parents.

Ross’s loved ones come to terms with his illness. Rachel grows attached to Joe when he is placed in her care. Does Melody have an eating disorder? Angelo is jealous of Aden and Belle. Kirsty looks for a new job.
It is a difficult week for the Buckton family as Charlie, Ruby and Morag struggle to deal with Ross’s Alzheimer’s. While Charlie wants to wrap her father up in cotton wool, Morag thinks he should have some degree of independence. When Ross prepares to go on a fishing trip with Alf, Charlie tries and fails to stop him. Later, Ross has to be admitted to hospital for stitches when he gashes his hand with a gutting knife. Charlie sees this as proof that Ross needs a minder at all times. But Ross is quick to point out that Charlie’s mollycoddling will only serve to drive the family apart. Meanwhile, Ruby looks for emotional support in an internet chatroom – and finds it in the form of a girl her own age who also has a relative with Alzheimer’s.

Joy turns to despair this week for newlyweds Ross and Morag as Ross’s mental health deteriorates. He immerses himself in a homicide investigation at work, only for his colleagues to discover that the murder was solved in 1979. A desperate Morag urges her husband to see a doctor. At the hospital, Rachel confirms Morag’s worst fears – Ross has Alzheimer’s disease. Morag, Charlie and Ruby are devastated to learn that there is no cure.

Bartlett oversteps the mark. Geoff and Nicole
have a surprise visitor. Has Aden lost Belle for
good? Are Rachel and Tony back on track? Ross
and Morag return from their honeymoon.
Kirsty takes pity on Bartlett this week when he
takes a tumble from his new motorbike and suffers
a blow to the head. After advice from the doctor,
Kirsty must deliver Bartlett safely home. She is
shocked to see his spartan flat, but her sympathy
does not last long after her boss suggests that she
move in and keep him company. “You’re looking
after me,” says Bartlett. “I’d love to look after you if
you’d let me.” Later in the week, however, the
secret of Miles and Kirsty’s relationship comes
out. Will going public discourage Bartlett’s
amorous advances?
Elsewhere, Geoff and Nicole get a surprise visit
from Melody. She has run away from the clinic and
claims that her mother’s constant harassment has
become too much for her. Later it emerges that

Annie continues to worry for Jai this week as the fearless teenager pulls yet another daredevil stunt. When bullies throw his school bag onto the roof, Jai scales the building to retrieve it. He makes it safely back to the ground, where Annie is waiting for him. She tells Jai that his risk-taking has to stop, but her speech falls on deaf ears. Later that night, Jai learns that Annie has gone missing, and instinctively knows where to look. Returning to the schoolyard, he finds Annie atop a building, looking decidedly anxious. He climbs up to help, but just as he reaches her, she slips and tumbles over the side. As Annie clutches onto the guttering, Jai must summon up all his strength to haul her back over the edge.

The father of Martha’s baby is revealed. Is it all over between Aden and Belle? Alf tells Ric to follow his heart. Roman is suspicious of Elliot. Annie throws a party for Jai.
Martha and Jack’s troubles continue this week. Still recovering from her mastectomy, Martha cannot bring herself to show Jack how she now looks. But she presses ahead with the paternity test on her unborn baby, confessing to Jack her fears about what the result may be. What if the baby is Roman’s? Jack says he will stand by her no matter what, but his pledge is sorely tested when the test reveals that Roman is indeed the father. Jack confronts his rival with the news in the hope that Roman will convince Martha to have a termination – which would enable her to get the chemotherapy she desperately needs. But Roman chooses to support Martha in her decision to keep the baby. An enraged Jack accuses him of behaving selfishly and swears that if she dies, it will be on Roman’s head.

It is a heartbreaking week for Jack and Martha as they receive the devastating news that Martha has breast cancer. Treatment poses a serious risk to Martha’s unborn baby, which means the mum-tobe is now faced with a painful choice – go ahead with the chemotherapy to save herself, or scale down the drugs to save her baby. She decides that her unborn child’s life is too precious to put at risk and elects to have a pared-down version of the treatment until the baby is born. But Jack does not agree with his fiancée’s drastic decision.

The intrigue continues in Summer Bay this week, as Charlie discovers a DNA test on new squeeze Roman’s bedside table. Curiosity gets the better of her, and she mentions her find to Jack. When Martha hears the news from Jack, she panics. How could Roman be so careless? After seeing Martha in such a state of distress, things slowly begin to dawn on Jack – the DNA test may have been for paternity. Martha may not be pregnant to him at all, but to her old flame. Furious, Jack attacks Roman at the Diner, accusing him of trying to weasel his way back into Martha’s life. With her secret out, can Martha’s relationship with Jack survive?

Kirsty should not have to wait for him to get out of prison and he does not want Oliver to see him behind bars. In a final parting gesture, Kane takes off his wedding ring and hands it to a disbelieving Kirsty. Is this really the end?

Is Kane and Kirsty’s time up? Larry is admitted to hospital. Aden and Belle are caught in bed together. Will Rachel and Tony’s relationship survive another blow? Melody stands up to Axel. There is a new cop in town.
It is high drama in Summer Bay this week, as Ric and Larry witness Kane carrying out an armed robbery. Fleeing the scene, Kane breaks the news to a devastated Kirsty. With no option but to quit town, the couple snatch Oliver from his hospital bed and go back on the run once again.
Before long, Irene gets wind of what has happened and decides to go to the authorities. Armed with a description of Kane’s car, the cops waste no time in tracking it down and tailing it. They can see that Kane is the vehicle’s only occupant – Kirsty and Oliver are in hiding. With the police in hot pursuit, Kane hits a dead end. Can he make his getaway on foot?
