Sally helps Miles put his past to rest. Is Tom’s final
prediction coming true? Sam comes up with a

deadly plan to deal with Johnny. Leah receives a
strange phone call. Things deteriorate between
Drew and Belle.
Since Sally’s near-death experience, in which she
was reunited with her foster dad Tom, a number of
events that Tom predicted have happened. Sally
has been wondering if Tom’s final prediction – that
she would leave the Bay – is going to come true,
and it seems that her question may be answered
when she gets a call from the Department of
Education. They inform Sally that she is to be
relocated from her role as school principal to a
desk job in the city. Surely this cannot be what Tom
meant – losing her job as principal is bad enough,
but an unappealing future in a boring desk job is
even worse. Matters deteriorate further when
Belle’s article about Sally gets rewritten to put her
in a bad light. Is Sally going to lose her reputation,
on top of everything else she has been through? More positively, Sally has been helping her longlost
brother, Miles, to rebuild his life. Since he
came to Summer Bay, Miles has been reunited
with his sister and is beginning to get past the
breakdown he suffered after losing his wife and
child in the south Asian tsunami. However, Miles is
still finding it difficult to get past one thing: his fear
of the ocean, which reminds him of what he has
lost. With Sally’s help, Miles is able to finally
overcome his crippling phobia and step into the
water. Tears stream down his face, but the past is
now being put to rest. Sally helps her brother once
more when she comes to him with a proposal:
Principal Bartlett wants to offer Miles a job at the
school – and Miles decides to accept. A fresh start
is appealing, but there is one thing left that Miles
must do... and he needs Morag’s help.
Also having a tough time this week is Sam, who
has been hailed as a hero for saving her friends
from Johnny’s attack. With Johnny in a coma, the
truth about what else Sam has been up to is
hidden: nobody knows that she was sheltering
him from the police while he was on the run after
stabbing Sally. When Johnny regains
consciousness, he starts to mutter a few cryptic
phrases... and Sam knows that it is only a matter
of time before the truth comes out. Feeling
desperate, Sam comes up with a deadly plan to
make sure that Johnny stays quiet.
Also this week, Drew and Belle’s relationship
buckles under the strain of Belle’s work,
especially when Drew sees the article slamming
Sally. Martha and Roman get to know each other
better. Leah gets a call from America about Dan.
And Jack receives some disturbing news.
