Naomi is punished for her actions, while Lucas also suffers. Kit makes a shock announcement. Belle’s attempt at revenge on Drew goes badly wrong. An old face makes a surprise return to the Bay.

Naomi is having a traumatic time this week, as the fallout from her affair with Lucas continues. She has been given a full-time job at the school, but is worried that this will be snatched away from her once they find out about Lucas. When Brad learns the truth, Naomi swears that she ended the affair as soon as she found out Lucas was a student. After getting the same story from Lucas, Brad decides not to report Naomi, but Jack is less forgiving and blames her for tearing his family apart. Later, Naomi is overjoyed that her career is still intact –until she sees the headline on the regional newspaper: ‘Local Teacher in Sex Scandal with Student’! Her secret is out... but who told the media? And will Tony’s role in the scandal also be revealed?

Elsewhere, there is more drama for troubled couple Kim and Rachel as the latter suddenly announces that she wants to start a family. Kim is overwhelmed by the idea, not least at the thought of having two babies by two different women. He is also uncomfortably aware of his growing feelings for Kit, and feels awkward when Rachel tells her the news. But nothing could prepare him for Kit’s own announcement: she has decided to take baby Archie and leave the Bay! She claims that it is because she want to finish university, but the real reason is that she is in love with Kim and cannot bear the thought of watching him start a new family with Rachel.

Kim and Rachel are not the only couple having problems this week. Belle is still furious with Drew for kissing a strange girl at his birthday party last week, and decides that she has had enough. In a rash act of revenge, she steals his homework assignment and gets him into trouble at school. When Naomi and Dan refuse to believe that Drew handed his work in, Drew is angry and hurt –and decides to quit school for good. Belle admits everything, but Drew’s mind is made up. Has she ruined his education forever?

Also this week, Lucas struggles to cope with sudden notoriety once the truth about his affair with Naomi is made public. Matilda is devastated when she witnesses Ric kissing another woman. Hugh’s reaction to Rachel’s news causes her to be more confused than ever. And Leah returns to the Bay –along with her brother Alex!
