Sally reels after finding out who Miles really is. Johnny Cooper breaks out of jail and heads for the Bay. Cassie continues to struggle. Lucas says goodbye to the Bay. Annie’s faith takes another hit.

Sally’s whole world is in turmoil this week after learning the truth about Miles: he is her long-lost twin brother! Miles explains that when their parents split up, he went with their father while Sally stayed with their mother and a new stepfather. While Sally grew up with an adoptive famly who took her in after her mother and stepfather were killed in an accident, Miles went through hell. Firstly, he had a breakdown when his alcoholic father died. Once he had eventually found happiness with a wife and child, Miles was then hit by more tragedy when his family were killed in the Asian tsunami. After losing everything, he ended up in Summer Bay. As the twins embrace for the first time in 27 years, Colleen walks in –meaning that it is not long before the happy news is all over the Bay.

Sally’s happiness is shortlived, however. She is horrified to hear that Johnny Cooper, who previously ordered his brother Rocco to stab her and then had him killed, has escaped from prison... and is on his way back to the Bay for revenge. Sally realises that it is coming up to the anniversary of Rocco’s death, but decides – against police advice –to stay in the Bay. The news of Johnny’s escape spreads throughout the town, and the resulting tension and anxiety is heightened by the noticeable police presence
everywhere. But while Jack and the rest of the force believe that they know Johnny’s next move, he is actually much closer than they realise...

Unaware of the unfolding drama, Cassie is still dealing with her recent discovery that she is HIV-positive. At the hospital, Rachel finds out Cassie’s status and offers her the support and comfort she needs. Talking to Rachel enables Cassie to put things into perspective, but she is still feeling confused about her feelings for Henk. Should she take him back, or does she want him out of her life for putting her in this position? She does not have to wonder for long, however –Henk has left town. Could things get any worse for poor Cassie?

Also this week, Aden makes it his mission to force Geoff to retaliate, while Annie struggles with another crisis of faith after Reverend Hall’s operation goes badly wrong. Lucas bids farewell to the Bay as he prepares to go away to college.

Irene plans to expose Dom’s true colours. And Rachel gets a romantic surprise.
