Is Kane and Kirsty’s time up? Larry is admitted to hospital. Aden and Belle are caught in bed together. Will Rachel and Tony’s relationship survive another blow? Melody stands up to Axel. There is a new cop in town.

It is high drama in Summer Bay this week, as Ric and Larry witness Kane carrying out an armed robbery. Fleeing the scene, Kane breaks the news to a devastated Kirsty. With no option but to quit town, the couple snatch Oliver from his hospital bed and go back on the run once again.

Before long, Irene gets wind of what has happened and decides to go to the authorities. Armed with a description of Kane’s car, the cops waste no time in tracking it down and tailing it. They can see that Kane is the vehicle’s only occupant – Kirsty and Oliver are in hiding. With the police in hot pursuit, Kane hits a dead end. Can he make his getaway on foot?

Aden is also dealing with the fallout of Kane’s crime – Larry has been admitted to hospital after being assaulted. Aden is shocked to find out that his father has high levels of alcohol in his blood. Unable to contain his anger over Larry’s relapse into alcoholism, Aden unleashes abuse on his ailing dad before storming out of the room.

Determined to drown his sorrows, Aden takes off to the beach with a bottle. After a while, Nicole finds him and tries to offer some words of consolation – as well using the moment to confess her feelings for him. However, when Aden tries to kiss her, Nicole pushes him away – a drunken snog is not what she had in mind. Dejected, Aden scurries off and finds himself at Belle’s house. Initially, Belle refuses to let him stay, but eventually allows him to crash on the floor. The next morning, after a night spent searching for Oliver, Geoff and Annie go into Belle’s room – and discover Aden in bed beside her...

Elsewhere, Rachel is dreaming of starting a family with Tony – but will he agree to it? Tony does not have the heart to tell his fiancée that there were complications with the vasectomy he underwent some years ago. Even with a reversal, he may not be able to father Rachel’s children. Realising that this could spell the end of their relationship, Tony hastily breaks up with Rachel via a voicemail message. Is he really doing the right thing?

Also this week, Melody reports Axel to the police, but he denies her accusations of attempted rape. Frustrated, Melody comes up with a plan to make Axel see the error of his ways – and confronts him in the schoolyard in front of his mates and fellow students.

Jack’s new partner is also making waves in the Bay this week. Ross’s daughter, Charlie Buckton, is a city cop determined to shake up the smalltown Yabbie Creek unit – but how will this go down with the stalwarts of the force?
