Charlie blows Martha’s cover. Ric is traumatised after the robbery. Matilda gives Ric an ultimatum. Kirsty tries desperately to get her life back on track without Kane. Belle and Aden’s relationship hits another rocky patch.

The intrigue continues in Summer Bay this week, as Charlie discovers a DNA test on new squeeze Roman’s bedside table. Curiosity gets the better of her, and she mentions her find to Jack. When Martha hears the news from Jack, she panics. How could Roman be so careless? After seeing Martha in such a state of distress, things slowly begin to dawn on Jack – the DNA test may have been for paternity. Martha may not be pregnant to him at all, but to her old flame. Furious, Jack attacks Roman at the Diner, accusing him of trying to weasel his way back into Martha’s life. With her secret out, can Martha’s relationship with Jack survive?

As darkness falls on the Bay, Ric tackles his first night shift as a security guard. Still shell-shocked after the violence of the jewellery-store robbery, Ric has a bad case of nerves. The next morning, Matilda fears that her boyfriend may be having a panic attack. Despite Rachel’s advice that he seek counselling, Ric is reluctant to take too much time off work as he still owes Alf money. But soon Alf comes to the rescue by offering Ric a partnership in a bait shop. However, this good news is set to be tainted by a bombshell from Matilda. She is going to university in Western Australia – with or without Ric.

Kirsty is also making major life changes now that Kane is in prison. Her first priority is to get a job so she can move out of Irene’s and become independent. She jumps at the chance to work as a school secretary. But once she has the job in the bag, self-doubt begins to creep in. With virtually no computer literacy, how can she hope to succeed?

Elsewhere, Aden is busy burning the candle at both ends. Holding down a job at the Diner while caring for his ailing father means it is tough keeping up with his schoolwork. Matters are made worse when he loses an entire assignment thanks to a computer glitch. A worried Belle rewrites the essay and proffers it to Aden. But he is too proud to accept her help and sends her away. With his pride in the way, will their relationship ever properly get off the ground?

Also this week, Nicole is irritated with Charlie for demanding so much of her father’s attention. Belle catches Larry drinking again and he begs her to keep it a secret from Aden. Ruby’s now exboyfriend packs his bags and leaves the Bay.
