House to be shown on all Five's Channels

Five has renewed its licensing agreement with NBC Universal International Television Distribution for the hit series House and the trio of series that make up the Law & Order brand it was announced today (MON). For the first time, they will be available to viewers across Five's family of channels.

House , is the critically-acclaimed medical drama starring Hugh Laurie as Dr Gregory House. This latest deal allows Five to broadcast the recently BAFTA nominated drama on Five, Five US and Five Life.

Lisa Opie , Five's Managing Director, Content, said: "I am thrilled that we will be able to show House and the Law & Order franchise across all of our channels. Five has an enviable reputation of acquiring the best US dramas and I am delighted that we can now broaden this further to reach even more viewers."

The first season of House was acquired by Five in May 2005 and was an instant hit with viewers, becoming a top Five US show on British TV and the number one show on Five for Thursday nights. House is currently in its third series in the US and on Five.

The Emmy-Award winning Law & Order brand includes Law & Order, Law & Order:Special Victims Unit and Law & Order:Criminal Intent. The Law & Order brand has dominated the ratings in the States and also features in the top ten US programmes in the UK.

The deal was negotiated by Vanessa Brookman, Five's Controller of Acquisitions.

Five launched its two new digital channels Five US and Five Life in October last year.

Other award-winning US imports on Five include: Prison Break; CSI; CSI: Miami; CSI: NY; The Shield; Grey's Anatomy; Shark; and the recently announced Dirt.
