Hot on the heels of Fireback Entertainment’s Captain Mack, CITV has recommissioned two more shows and acquired a brand new animation.
After fantastic viewing figures, CITV’s top rated show Horrid Henry has been recommissioned for a second series. The grubbiest, cheekiest, grottiest boy in the world will be crashing back onto CITV for 52 episodes of self administered mayhem!
Produced by Lucinda Whiteley and Mike Watts at Novel Entertainment, Horrid Henry is now seen as an iconic CITV property. The new series will see Henry get up to more mischief and adventures as he unmasks an international stamp thief, saves the world from an alien invasion and tries to set a new world record. Look out too for a very special celebrity appearance as Henry’s most favourite author in the world, TJ Fizz.
Novel Entertainment’s Mike Watts comments “Horrid Henry’s popularity is going from strength to strength and we are thrilled that CITV has committed to a further series enabling us to animate more of his adventures."
Foundation TV’s factual production Finger Tips has also been recommissioned for another series and will have 26 episodes.
Finger Tips is an upbeat 'make and do' show that combines traditional methods with technology. Modern packaging, gadgets and trends inspire the original ideas. Everything is made using easily accessible and recycled materials and introduces 'new to the market' ideas. The 'makes' range from food to games, simple to more complex. And there are plenty of 'makes' using technology in a creative way, be it a computer, scanner or digital camera.
Finally CITV has acquired a brand new cartoon humorously titled My Goldfish is Evil! The animation has been created by aptly named Sardine Productions and will be 26 episodes.
My Goldfish Is Evil! chronicles the hilarious adventures of a young boy named Beanie and his little pet "Mr. Bubbles"- a talking goldfish who wants nothing less than to conquer the entire world!
CITV and ITV3 Controller Emma Tennant added “I am thrilled to be commissioning new episodes of these fantastic series for CITV. Horrid Henry is truly a CITV hero and it’s fantastic to be working with Novel to develop the brand further, and Finger Tips is a great factual format which has proved very popular with our viewers.”
