When the members of a wealthy Staten Island family are found murdered at their home, the detectives on the scene are shocked by the grisly discovery. “It’s like Charlie Manson in there,” warns a policeman as he shows Logan and Barek inside. The victim’s gambling debts suggest his death was suicide, until Goren and Eames find evidence that it was in fact a carefully staged murder. Police investigate when the body of Ben Williams, a respected education adviser, is found washed up on the banks of the East River. The victim was drunk when he drowned and has a nasty gash on his head. But did he kill himself or was he murdered?

Jackson, two sisters who have been found
swathed in plastic in the apartment they shared. All
the evidence indicates the pair were paralysed

no sign they struggled – and they were alive when
they were wrapped in plastic,” says ME Rodgers.

The fifth series of the crime drama spin-off focusing
on an elite group of New York cops continues. In
this week’s episode, Detectives Logan and Barek
investigate when a young violinist is found dead
during a performance by her opera-singing mother.
Could the production’s famously volatile conductor
(guest star Julian Sands, ‘A Room with a View’,
‘24’) be to blame?
When promising 21-year-old violinist Laura Booth is
found dead backstage at the Old Hudson Opera
House, Logan and Barek learn that she was thrown
down an air shaft from the roof. They find out that
the whole opera company had access to the roof,
which does not make for a promising start to the
investigation: “700 suspects and counting, huh?”
remarks Logan.
Up on the roof, the detectives find evidence of
drug-taking and alcohol, and learn that the crew
were known to head up there during their breaks.

The fifth series of the crime drama spin-off focusing
on an elite group of New York cops continues. In
this week’s episode, the investigation into a young
man’s death leads Detectives Goren and Eames
into a world of blackmail, lies and family secrets.
After a building’s residents complain about
strange-tasting tap water, a grisly discovery is
made in the water tower on the roof: the body of
Eric Newsome, a young man who was reported
missing a few days ago.
A camera discovered on Eric is found to have
pictures of sculptures, hard-to-reach walls,
ceilings and other parts of buildings on its memory
card: “the record of an urban explorer,” in Goren’s
words. When the detectives speak to Eric’s sister,
Nikki, she explains that she, Eric and their friends
were partial to breaking into buildings and
exploring, but never stole anything or hurt anyone.
However, it seems that Eric went on an expedition
that the others did not know about: there is a

The fifth series of the crime drama spin-off
focusing on an elite group of New York cops
continues. In this week’s episode, Detectives
Logan and Barek investigate the murder of a
secret-service agent whose husband was
involved in some shady dealings.
After Paula Kendall is found bludgeoned to death
in her home, Logan and Barek’s initial suspicion is
that her husband, Jay, is guilty of the crime.
Covered in his wife’s blood, Jay Kendall explains
that he got home from work to find her injured,
tried to revive her and called the police. He says
that he had tried to call 911 once and was told to
call back, but cannot explain why he waited 11
minutes to do so. Evidence seems to suggest that
Paula was having an affair – sexy clothes were
found in a bag in her car and it appears that she
had removed her wedding ring for a period of time
– but it soon emerges that she was actually a
secret-service agent working undercover.

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off
focusing on an elite group of New York cops
continues. This week, Detectives Goren and
Eames attempt to unravel the mystery of how a

ambitious wife, but the detectives think that the
case is more complicated than it seems...
There should be a happy atmosphere at the home
of wealthy radio mogul Jonas Slaughter (guest
star Malcolm McDowell) and his young, Chinese
wife Anna: they are celebrating their four-year-old
daughter’s birthday, along with Jonas’s adult
sons, Trip and Chance. But the mood is
somewhat cool: Chance’s disapproving wife
keeps making snide remarks about Anna, Trip is
getting drunk and Jonas feels left out watching his
wife and daughter communicating in Chinese.
The next morning, Trip Slaughter is found
strangled in his hotel room – he has been covered

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off
focusing on an elite group of New York cops
continues. This week, detectives Logan and
Barek handle the case of a woman’s body that fell
out of an aeroplane wheel well into the sea. The
investigation uncovers a string of similar deaths
involving prostitutes, and leads to a disturbed
airport worker with a dark secret.
Logan and Barek are called to the seafront where
a body has been pulled from the ocean.
Witnesses report that the unidentified woman
dropped from the sky, and the victim’s thick coat
and African tunic suggest to Logan that she may
have been a stowaway who dropped out of a
plane’s wheel well.
An autopsy reveals that the victim was in fact
beaten to death and that her body was stuffed
into the wheel well by the killer. Further clues
indicate that, instead of being an illegal immigrant,
she was most likely a local woman. After
consulting with air traffic control, Logan and Barek

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off focusing on an elite group of New York cops continues. When an out-of-town banker is found dead from a heroin overdose in this week’s instalment, the finger of suspicion points to an elite group of professional party people.

When Detectives Goren and Eames investigate the death of wealthy banker Russ Corbett, they are confused as to why he would have been in the cheap hotel room in which he was discovered. His wife, Monica, incoherent from drug-induced psychosis, is unable to offer many clues. At the morgue, the coroner reveals that Russ may have been a drug user. Eames also notices that the victim has neatly waxed eyebrows and a fake tan. “I doubt he picked up metrosexual grooming habits in Grand Rapids,” she remarks. Interviews with friends and family throw up more new information – Russ and his wife had been trying hard to break into the social scene.

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off focusing on an elite group of New York cops continues. In this week’s episode, the shooting of a car salesman leads Logan and Barek to a conniving mother who was blackmailing different men by claiming they fathered her child.

Logan and Barek are called to a lonely country road where Joseph Sabo, the owner of a car dealership, has been shot dead. They find evidence that Sabo tampered with the traffic lights at the junction to force another car to stop, before attempting to shoot the driver. “Maybe Sabo was planning a hit,” Logan says. The driver appears to have shot Sabo in self-defence and driven off.

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off focusing on an elite group of New York cops continues. In this week’s instalment, a dead woman is found behind a dumpster, leading detectives to suspect the work of drug smugglers.

When two children witness the body of a woman being dumped behind a bin, Detectives Mike Logan (Chris Noth) and Carolyn Barek (Annabella Sciorra) are called to the scene. The postmortem reveals that the victim has opiates in her system and is missing her digestive tract, leading Logan to conclude that she was being used as a drug mule. Her gut had most likely been packed full of heroin balloons that her employers needed to remove in a hurry. To have any hope of tracking down her killers, the detectives must first uncover the woman’s identity. They narrow their search by using the immigration database and quickly find a match.

The fifth season of the crime drama spin-off focusing on an elite group of New York cops continues. In tonight’s episode, the detectives attempt to pin the murder of a 16-year-old girl on a well-known judge. But the judge fights back by delving into Logan’s past and attacking Goren’s mental health.

The detectives of the Major Case Squad have teamed up to investigate the disappearance of high school-student Bethany Lunden (see last week’s episode). Bethany was seen in the company of Ethan Garrett, the son of influential judge Harold Garrett (Colm Meaney). Ethan has already been connected with the death of another young woman, Tiana Peterson, but he refuses to talk about what happened to Bethany.
