Film4 joins the national 2008 celebration of the centenary of the birth of David Lean with an extensive season of some of his finest films. Taken from Noel Coward's popular play of the same name, David Lean's film looks at the way in which a working class family adapts to life after World War I as they slowly move up the class ladder.
