The hit drama series focusing on the Naval Criminal Investigative Service –a team that investigates Navy and Marine-related crimes –returns for a fourth season on Five.

NCIS Special Agent Leroy Jethro Gibbs (Mark Harmon, ‘The West Wing’, ‘Freaky Friday’), a former Marine gunnery sergeant whose skills as an investigator are unmatched, previously led this troupe of colourful personalities. The team includes ex-homicide detective Tony DiNozzo (Michael Weatherly, ‘Dark Angel’); forensic specialist Abby Sciuto; brilliant MIT graduate Timothy McGee and Ziva David, a former Mossad agent who shares a bond with Gibbs over the death of his nemesis, Ari, the terrorist who killed NCIS’s Kate Todd.

Assisting the team is eccentric medical examiner Dr Donald ‘Ducky’ Mallard (David McCallum, ‘The Man from UNCLE’), and NCIS director Jennifer Shepard (Lauren Holly) who has a romantic history with Gibbs. From murder and espionage to terrorism and stolen submarines, these special agents travel the globe to investigate all crimes with Navy or Marine Corps ties.

In the opening episode of season four, ‘Shalom’, Gibbs is retired and boat-building in Mexico so the NCIS team must learn to work without him when Ziva witnesses a political assassination by her former Mossad partner. Convinced her father ordered the hit, Ziva seeks refuge at the Israeli embassy only to find she is wanted by the FBI. As the NCIS team, now headed by Tony, works to prove her innocence, Ziva reaches out to the one person she has always been able to trust...
