Grow up it's all to do with money!! Channel 5 have it and the BBC don't and as for better quality of filming - HUH!!! It's filmed in Austrlia not by Channel 5 or the BBC so thw quality is the same which ever channel. To be fair as the whole country has to go FREEVIEW in the near future everyone will be able to receive it satelitte or freeview.

Neighbours on channel 5! GREAT Less of a reason to watch The BBC.
Quality of neighbours fimilng is much better and ok we have to watch ads now and see that its sponsored BY WEIGHT WATCHERS!, but its a small price to pay than watching the BBC.

As a faithfull Dutch viewer from '86 I am sad to read that Neighbours is mooving channel. For me there is unfortunately no option to watch it from another channel, as in the Netherlands we can only receive BB1 + BB2. So there is nothing for me to do than to say goodbye to Neighbours after having watched it over 20 years...

Ive been watching Neigbhours since 1987, I am deeply saddened at the BBC for not buying the show from freemantle, but in the free-market, there will always be someone whose bid fits, and in the case of the BBC, what do they care, they have a captive audience.

Ive been scouring the internet trying to find out from somebody who can tell me how to watch online, but no luck as yet.

If someone does know, they can e.mail another true Neighbours fan at this e.mail address,-

Why have you moved Neighbours to Channel 5, which we cannot obtain in my area. Having watched this programme for years it is totally inconsiderate to find that due to the showing of Anne Robinson ( a programme full of aggresion) we are losing a favorite programme.

Please rethink. from an 80 year old who cannot afford digital.

Stop me if im talking crazy but... Perhaps someone working at channel 5 could propose the following words to a Channel 5 Top dog... NEIGHBOURS, SUNDAY & OMNIBUS

I CANNOT BELIEVE WE HAVE LOST NEIGHBOURS TO CHANNEL 5, ONLY TO HAVE IT REPLACED WITH!!!! BLOODY ANNE ROBINSON AND THE WEAKEST LINK. IF WE ALL TURNED ROUND TO THE BBC AND SAID WE ARE GOING TO PAY YOU LESS TV LICENSE FEE AS A RESULT OF LOSING NEIGHBOURS, THEY WOULD HAVE A FIT. I HAVE ALSO BEEN WATCHING THE HEADLAND AND NOW THAT'S GONE FROM CHANNEL 4, SO IT LOOKS LIKE GOODBYE TO ALL AUSTRALIAN TV PROGRAMMES AND THE GOOD WEATHER ETC WE HAVE BEEN USED TO SEEING. I AM AFRAID WHAT WITH ONE THING AND ANOTHER, THIS COUNTRY HAS GONE TO THE DOGS AND I AM SERIOUSLY CONSIDERING EMIGRATING TO AUSTRALIA OR NEW ZEALAND. DOES ANYONE ELSE FEEL DEPRESSED.

Channel 5 will be showing Neighbours at 1.45pm and 5.30pm daily followed by Home and Away. So the times are similar to when BBC1 show them now - even though BBC1 moved the 1.40 slot to 2.10 for about a month for no apparant reason.

I feel sorry for those of you who cannot get channel 5 and I do wonder why I pay my TV licence when the only show I really watch on the channel is moving!

i think that it should go to itv beacuse it will get a bit more money for showing it than bbc would give them but the disadvantage is that it will have a break in it so i wont it to stay on bbc

I think Neighbours should be kept on BBC 1, its a popular soap for the young and the old generation and is still going strong with many fans, if it has to be moved to FIVE, not many people can recieved channel 5 like myself which isn't very far i would have thought.

I think the BBC should fight long and hard what ever the cost to keep neighbours, either that or we tv liscence paying folk should get a discount in our bill as that is the only reason i watch bbc 1, so if all we watch is advert funded channels should we really be paying for something we wont watch (bb1).

SAVE OUR NEIGHBOURS!!

Have you not heard of Video+ Babs? I think you can even record your favourite Neighbours classics on one of those new shiny disc things. If Neighbours goes to ITV it will be on more than ever, thanks to ITV2 and ITV2+1 you will be able to watch it about 15 times a day (if corrie and emerdale are anything to go by). I think it will be a shame if it goes to 5, you can't get any reception for 5 where my mum lives nor any digital reception, think of all those poor people out in the country who won't be able to get their fix of Autralian sunshine! Fight BBC Fight....I'll give up neighbours forever if there's a carol voderman trying to make me get a loan slap bang in the middle Sticking out tongue

why do Freemantle have to be so greedy. Neighbours is watched by a lot of people in the UK as it is on at the right time for them, if channel 5 change the times they will lose money as you cannot record the programme. 5 35 is a good time for it as is 1 40 lunch time.so please leave the times as they are

Neighbours had stood the test of time and has been constantly watched by thousands of viewers and has provided the BBC with viewers they probably would not have at that time of day. The BBC should realise this as it has brought them a lot of money throughout the years. If neighbours is force to move as long as it is on a reasonable time i will watch it but i am sure that when trying to fill the time slots that neighbours have the BBC will soon regret loosing neighbours.

the show has lost its spark. home and away is alot fresher and full of good actors. let it go to itv. they wont look after it, they choped home and away to bits- remember no end credits!!!

I am shocked and appalled to hear that neighbours may be changing channel. I cannot comprehend the thought that my daily fix of neighbours could well be interrupted by awful daytime tv adverts for 'no win no fee' lawyers, and cheesy sponsorship deals. The BBC is a multi-million pound organisation, surely they can afford to pay more for a show which has a growing audience around the world!!!
