Rachel is furious with Libby. Elle investigates Zeke’s disappearance. Donna’s mother arrives to stir up the street. Miranda tries to stop Bridget finding her birth mother.
Zeke’s apparent death hangs over Ramsay Street this week. Libby throws herself into the plans for his memorial service, but her guilt gets the better of her and she finally admits that she let go of Zeke’s hand while they were underwater following the rafting accident. Karl and Susan console her but a furious Rachel cannot bring herself to forgive Libby. She issues an ultimatum, insisting that Libby cannot attend the service. She further hits back at her stepsister by destroying her bridesmaid dress for Libby’s wedding. Meanwhile, the teens are shocked to discover photos of Donna among Zeke’s possessions. Did he have a crush on Ringo’s girl? Ringo cannot contain his jealousy and accuses Donna of cheating on him with Zeke.
Elsewhere, Elle and Lucas butt heads on a Valentine’s Day assignment for the newspaper. The pair travel to the country, where Elle is astonished to see what appears to be a portrait of Zeke in a local shop. She convinces Lucas to help her investigate, but can find no clues as to the identity of the boy. Elle decides to keep her discovery from the Kennedys, who are distracted by the memorial service. But the mystery resurfaces later when Steph is looking through some photos of Lucas and Elle and spots someone who reminds her of Zeke in the background. Could the missing boy be alive?
Harold’s Salvation Army home receives its first tenant this week when glamorous Cassandra Freedman arrives and moves Tegan and Simon into the house. ‘Sass’ immediately makes friends with the menfolk and enemies of the women. But no one is more surprised than Donna, who is dismayed to learn her mother has moved in next door! It is not long before Sass sets her sights on Paul, even engineering a ‘wardrobe malfunction’ in the middle of Ramsay Street for his benefit. But when she deduces that Sam stands in the way of her seduction of the wily Robinson, she finds a sneaky way to gain the upper hand...
Also this week, Donna resolves to expose her mum’s dodgy past, but her plan backfires. Sam inadvertently lets slip to Sass that Dan may not be the father of her baby. Miranda confesses to Steve that she has interfered in Bridget’s efforts to find her birth parents. Callum fears that Toadie is not dealing well with Kelly’s departure. And the neighbours engage in some Friday the 13th frolics.
