Steve pleads guilty to manslaughter. Declan turns detective. Susan’s fateful decision rocks Ramsay Street. Is Samantha really pregnant? Things heat up between Ty and Rachel.

The Parkers are still the centre of attention this week as Steve faces charges for Chris Knight’s accidental death. At his bail hearing, Bridget tries to speak out, but Steve’s brave insistence on taking the fall eventually silences her. Pleading guilty to manslaughter, Steve is granted bail and goes home to prepare his family for life without him. Later, after a run-in with Chris’s friend Mozzie, he resigns as the Dingoes’ footie coach. But when Mozzie returns to settle the score, the football team rallies to protect Steve in a show of support.

Meanwhile, Declan launches his own investigation into events. Unable to dismiss his gut instinct that Steve is innocent, he returns to the scene of the crime and discovers Bridget’s necklace lying discarded on the ground. What will Declan do with this new information?

Susan Kennedy unleashes a world of trouble this week when she learns from Lyn the truth of Paul’s infidelity. After tussling with her conscience, Susan feels compelled to tell Rebecca the truth. The bombshell of Paul’s affair with Kirsten destroys his relationship and leads to a chain reaction of calamitous events. Rebecca packs her bags and Elle kicks Paul out of the house. Oliver, meanwhile, is angry with Elle for covering up her father’s affair. He gets his revenge by firing Kirsten from Lassiter’s and considers tendering his own resignation. Paul makes a last-ditch attempt to make it up to his daughter by resigning himself. But there are further shocks in store for Rebecca when she learns the full extent of Paul’s betrayal.

Elsewhere, Sam forges ahead with her plan to get pregnant and buys a test kit. The result is negative, but when Libby finds a sobbing Sam with the test in her hands, she assumes she is crying tears of joy. Sam seizes upon the idea and plays along by pretending she is pregnant. Dan is stunned by the news, while Karl is highly doubtful. Sam resolves to stick to her lie in the belief that she will soon fall pregnant, but a sudden bout of chicken pox places Dan in quarantine...

Over at Charlie’s bar, Rachel and Ty are watching a band when Ty finds himself being hassled by an obsessive admirer. The pair pretend to be a couple in order to shake her off – but just how real is the chemistry between them?
