A Ramsay Street legend faces death. Elle finds a sinister clue about Zeke’s disappearance. Will Sam’s secret be exposed? Steve is appalled by Miranda’s actions.

Ramsay Street’s residents fear the worst this week when a beloved friend is felled by a heart attack. Put-upon Donna is having a hard time with her family and ex-boyfriend Ringo, but she finds a new friend in Harold, who helps her to cope with her problems. However, events take a terrible turn when Donna encourages Harold to recite an old rap he once wrote – only for him to collapse with a heart attack. Harold is rushed to hospital in a critical condition, where Karl learns his old friend has a Not for Resuscitation order on his file. Karl ignores the order – but when he comes round, an angry Harold berates him for his actions. It appears he has lost the will to go on – so his neighbours rally round him and hold a vigil. Will he find the strength to cling to life?

Elsewhere, Elle and Lucas resume their search for clues regarding Zeke’s fate. They break into the house of the elusive stranger who may hold the key to the mystery – a man named Phil – and discover a shirt belonging to Zeke. With this evidence, they involve Susan in the search – although she decides to leave the still-fragile Karl and Rachel out of the matter. Susan calls in the police, but is devastated when they find nothing to connect Phil to Zeke’s disappearance. Has Elle’s hunt been a wild-goose chase, or is Phil hiding the truth?

Meanwhile, Sass is on the warpath after Paul stands her up. Mistakenly believing that Sam sabotaged the date so that she could snare Paul for herself, Sass confronts her rival at Charlie’s Bar. In the process, she lets slip Sam’s secret – that Dan is not the father of her baby. Steph overhears the exchange and runs straight to Libby to break the news. Steph’s involvement helps end her feud with Libby, but when he hears of it, Dan is devastated. He refuses to give up the hope that he might be a father, and his desperation only creates further pain for Libby, who knows she cannot give her fiancé children.

Also this week, Steve is appalled to learn that Miranda paid Bridget’s birth mother to stay away. When Declan raises a loan to pay a private eye to find the woman’s number, Miranda faces the possibility that her daughter will discover her meddling. Simon plays a humiliating prank on Ringo – and Donna gets the blame. Steph and Greg make a difficult decision about their relationship. And Callum and Mickey brush up on their chat-up lines.
