Perennial love rat Paul Robinson finds himself in a world of trouble this week – and not for the first time. He returns from his trip to Paris to a warm welcome from Rebecca. Touched by how much she cares for him, Paul decides to chance yet another trip down the aisle and proposes to her.

But his happiness is quickly derailed when he is sent incriminating photos of himself and Kirsten by an anonymous blackmailer. Paul initially fingers Kirsten as the culprit, but is convinced of her innocence when he sees how upset she is. Worried for her son Mickey, Kirsten urges him to go to the police. Paul eventually identifies the blackmailer as a disgruntled Lassiter’s employee. But then he receives a text message indicating that a second blackmailer is at work...

Over at number 26, Steve is less than pleased when his father, Jim, shows up with Ned. Unwilling to face the past, Steve rejects his dad’s attempts to reconnect. Riley forces the issue by inviting Jim on a lads-only fishing trip. Out in the country, the tension between father and son begins to thaw, only for Steve to realise that boozy Jim has fallen off the wagon. An argument erupts and Jim lashes out at Lou and Riley. Steve takes a stand but is completely unprepared for Jim’s shock announcement – he is not Steve’s real father. To make matters worse, it transpires that Steve’s actual dad was Jim’s best mate, and that Jim was responsible for his death in Vietnam.

Elsewhere, Libby’s curiosity is piqued when she discovers the mysterious Ty is keeping quiet about his birthday. Keen to cheer him up, Libby throws him an impromptu party, leading Karl to wonder if she is inadvertently using Ty to get over Dan. Challenged by Steph, who accuses her of ‘giving up’ on her life, Libby goes clubbing with Ty, only to run into Dan and Sam at the club. Ty handles the awkward situation so well that Libby is forced to see her young friend in a new light. Are things about to heat up between the pair?
