Libby and Daniel face a rollercoaster of emotions this week as their fledgling romance struggles to get off the ground. Daniel stuns Libby with a shocking confession – he is a married man! At first Libby does not want to hear Dan’s excuses and explanations, but she is soon touched by the sad story of his wife Samantha’s mental illness. In an effort to put his past behind him, Daniel seeks out his wife and asks for a divorce. But Samantha is less than keen on the idea and it is clear that she still has feelings for her husband. Daniel is forced to admit that she will always have a place in his heart – but their relationship is over. Samantha accepts his decision, but decides to stick around in Erinsborough and takes on work with Toadie’s law firm.

Over at number 22, Paul is feeling increasingly neglected as Rebecca occupies herself with the class action and Oliver’s custody battle. He finds himself drawn to Kirsten once again as his respect for her grows. Can he keep denying his impulses? Paul nearly gets into trouble when Elle catches him with a designer necklace that he has bought for Kirsten. Paul claims the gift is for Rebecca, but Elle’s suspicions lead her into an explosive showdown with Kirsten. Challenging her over the nature of her relationship with Paul, Elle issues Kirsten a strict ultimatum...

Elsewhere, romance abounds when Erinsborough’s teens embark on their school camp. Ringo airs his feelings to Bridget, who lets him down gently. Zeke and Taylah consider taking their relationship to the next level. Meanwhile, Rachel falls off her bike and is helped up by Bridget. The boys tease Rachel about her accident and Bridget jumps to her defence – leading to a slight thaw between the feuding friends. Later, Rachel fends off Declan’s amorous advances out of deference to Bridget’s feelings, and the girls’ loyalty to each other seems to heal their rift.

Also this week, Lou has second thoughts about going away with Harold, only for Steve to invite him to move in at number 26. Miranda is less than pleased with Steve’s decision, until Lou comes up with a surprise solution. Oliver pursues his bid to win sole custody of baby Chloe. Carmella and Marco take ownership of Harold’s house. And Steph returns to find Toadie packed and ready to move out.
