The fallout from Angus and Rachel’s affair spreads.
Paul hides a devastating truth from Rebecca.

Janae faces further difficulties. Elle and Riley
struggle to overcome their feelings.
Erinsborough is buzzing in the wake of Declan’s
exposure of Angus and Rachel’s affair. Daniel
launches his own investigation into the matter and
uses a clever trick to force the guilty parties to
come clean. At the Kennedy house, Susan and
Karl blame themselves for Rachel’s behaviour,
while Libby tries to play big sister. Further shocks
are in store for Susan and Karl when Rachel admits
during a police interview that she instigated and
aggressively pursued the relationship. Susan
eventually turns to Angus and urges him to push
Rachel away. After a brief reconciliation, Angus
breaks Rachel’s heart by claiming that he never
loved her. A distraught Rachel runs away from
home, prompting a desperate search. Will she be safe on her own, without money or friends?
Elsewhere, at the hospital, Karl tries to alert Oliver and Rebecca to Richard’s declining health without breaking patient confidentiality – but his efforts only succeed in arousing Paul’s suspicions. Paul marches into the hospital room and discovers that Richard is dying. However, he refuses to believe Richard’s expressions of remorse for how he treated Rebecca, and keeps the patient’s whereabouts to himself. When Oliver and Declan finally learn the truth, they call Rebecca and rush to the hospital, where Richard makes a deathbed confession and apologises for his deeds. Richard’s death offers Rebecca and Oliver the chance to put the past behind them – but Declan is less forgiving, and refuses to attend the funeral. Rebecca, meanwhile, is furious that Paul kept the truth about Richard from her. Can he make amends?
Janae is also having a tough week. She is devastated to see that the problems between her and Ned are affecting Mickey, and she realises that she needs to step out of Mickey’s life. Janae then lands herself in more hot water when she catches Mickey and Ben fighting over why Darren left town, and her attempts to explain the situation and her role in it leave Ben confused and upset. An angry Libby berates Janae for telling her son about Darren’s betrayal.
Also this week, Elle returns to her job at the newspaper but finds it hard to overlook Riley’s admission that he has feelings for her. Rosie tries to convince Carmella to chase after Marco. And the Napiers say a last goodbye to Richard.
