Are Rebecca and Paul back together? Elle and Lucas discover a Robinson family secret. Steph is excited by Greg’s return. Will Bridget go through with the engagement?
Rebecca is keen to keep her renewed relationship with Paul a secret this week. She is afraid of looking foolish if he cheats on her again, so Paul tries to assuage her fears by presenting her with an unusual sort of contract. Paul promises to compensate Rebecca financially if he is unfaithful to her again. After Elle explains the twisted logic behind Paul’s idea, Rebecca accepts his offer. She goes public with the news of their reconciliation – but receives a mixed reaction from friends and family. Rebecca and Paul have a few teething problems as they grow accustomed to their new arrangement. But when Paul unexpectedly goes out on a limb for Declan, Rebecca knows that she can count on him.
Elsewhere, Elle and Lucas discover that the locket they found underneath Harold’s house contains the initials of Elle’s grandmother, Anne Robinson. Intrigued, Lucas continues the hunt and stumbles across a box carved with Anne’s name. Further evidence leads them to a safety deposit box containing the lost will of Elle’s great grandmother, Helen Daniels. Lucas pieces the facts together and comes to the conclusion that Anne Robinson had an affair. Elle scours the will for clues and is shocked to discover that Anne had another child. But the trail goes cold when she realises that the lawyer who drafted the will is dead. Will Elle tell Paul what she knows or is she too scared to face the skeletons in the Robinson family closet?
Steph, meanwhile, is delighted when Greg returns to Erinsborough and announces he is back for good. But he soon stuns her with his desire to have children with her. Steph does not want more kids and starts to avoid him. At the same time, Greg is shocked to learn that the school is staging a play based on Steph’s relationship with Toadie. As the opening night approaches, Dan and Libby start to wonder if the ending of the play implies that Toadie still has feelings for Steph. But their plan to get Toadie and Steph to be honest with each other backfires when the pair have a major argument...
Also this week, Declan and Bridget struggle to reach a compromise over Bridget’s reluctance to get married. Things heat up between Zeke and Sunny when they spend an evening babysitting. Susan goes on strike when the dishwasher breaks down and Karl refuses to have it fixed. And Ringo faces his demons when he returns to the Dingoes.
