Will Rebecca leave Ramsay Street? Dan warns Libby to stay away. Toadie looks set to become a father. Will Bridget crack under the pressure? Marco catches Carmella red-handed. Miranda clashes with Nicola.

The ladies of Ramsay Street rally around Rebecca this week as she announces her plan to leave Erinsborough in the wake of Paul’s affair. An evening of wine and chat results in a candid discussion of each woman’s own personal experience of heartbreak. But will this sense of solidarity be enough to make Rebecca stay?

Meanwhile, Libby suspects that Sam may be heading for another bipolar episode. After seeing Sam manically cleaning a filing cabinet, Libby voices her concerns to Steph. “You don’t want to meddle – that’s not like a Kennedy,” says Steph, tongue firmly in cheek.

Still, Libby approaches Dan to warn him. But Sam has pipped her at the post, telling Dan that Toadie had dropped a whole pizza behind the cabinet. Dan tells Libby to keep her nose out of their business – the couple have enough on their plate already. Dan has been stricken with chicken pox, which poses a threat to their unborn child. This presents Sam with a dilemma – she has omitted to tell Dan that she is not actually pregnant. However, it later transpires that Dan does not have the pox after all. Rather, his rash is a result of an allergy to Toadie’s dog, Bob. Sam is off the hook – for now...

The hapless Toadie is left to deal with the fallout of Dan’s reaction to his furry friend. Bob must go – and the simplest solution is to pass the pup on to Steph. The timing could not be worse for Toadie, who is anxiously awaiting the arrival of a new member of his household. He has decided to adopt an orphan from East Timor and is frantically practising his Portuguese so he can converse with the boy. But Sam and Dan are dubious about whether Toadie is ready for fatherhood. Their apprehension mounts when Toadie owns up to having told a “white lie” during the adoption process. “They make these things conditional on having lived in East Timor for at least 12 months,” he admits. What has Toadie done?

Elsewhere, living a lie is proving too much to bear for Bridget. With the day of Steve’s trial rapidly approaching, she spills her secret to Declan. “Dad didn’t hurt Chris,” she says. “He was not even there. It was me!” Miranda also wonders whether Steve is doing the right thing in protecting Bridget. In a last-ditch attempt to expose the truth, Miranda asks Toadie to convince Steve to change his mind and stop shielding his daughter from the law.

Also this week, Carmella and Marco are being torn apart by money woes. And Miranda discovers Nicola’s dark family secret.
