Will Paul fall back on his old ways? Steph is incriminated in the roof-collapse lawsuit. Harold stuns Lou with a shocking decision. Rachel and Declan keep secrets from Bridget.

Paul faces a tussle with his darker side this week as he finds his ego boosted by Kirsten’s attention. After offering her a job at Lassiter’s, Paul finds himself with Kirsten at Charlie’s, where the chemistry between them is tantalising. Later, on a tour of the hotel, their flirtation goes one step too far and drives Paul into Kirsten’s arms. When he returns home to Rebecca, Paul realises what he stands to lose, and desperately tries to cool things off. He tells Kirsten that their work relationship means they must remain just friends – neglecting to mention anything about Rebecca. However, a chance meeting leads Kirsten to discover that Paul is already in a relationship. She keeps quiet about their fling, but this does not stop an increasingly paranoid Paul from offering money to buy her silence. Has he made a foolish mistake?

Elsewhere, Toadie is still reeling from the fallout of his non-wedding to Steph. He wants nothing more to do with her, but when Rebecca shows him some council minutes that implicate Steph in the warehouse collapse, he finds it in his heart to tip her off. It emerges that Jackie Jones, the mayor, used Steph’s proxy vote to remove security guards from the warehouse – inadvertently allowing the rave to go ahead. Steph angrily confronts Jackie, who tells her to keep quiet about the vote or they will all be in trouble. Refusing to be silenced, Steph hands the file over to Toadie, providing him and Rosie with the proof they need to launch their class action. As she prepares to leave Erinsborough with her son, Steph tells a disconsolate Toadie that she needs time to sort her head out – but is she just running away from her problems?

Over at number 24, big changes are afoot when Harold stuns Lou by announcing that he wants to sell up and leave Ramsay Street. Unwilling to admit how insecure he feels about his future, Lou responds by attacking Harold. As their bickering escalates, Harold fears their friendship might be irreparably damaged, while Lou starts to show physical symptoms of stress. Suddenly, he collapses with an apparent heart attack, and Harold is unable to reach him...

Also this week, Rachel agrees to tutor Declan after hours, but is annoyed by his insistence that they keep their meetings secret from Bridget. Marco makes Harold an offer on his house he hopes he cannot refuse. Rebecca jeopardises the class action by leaking confidential details to Elle. And Toadie faces a conflict of interest as he tries to keep Steph out of the lawsuit.
