Russell Norman, star of the London restaurant scene will share his rule book with six first-time restaurateurs in The Restaurateur (w/t), while The Restaurant Wars (w/t) in Manchester, follows two top chefs battling it out to try and open the city’s first Michelin-starred top restaurant in 30 years.

The faceSky Living has confirmed that international supermodels Erin O’Connor and Caroline Winberg will be joining Naomi Campbell as mentors on the news series The Face.

Naomi, Erin and Caroline will each choose four girls to mentor and guide as members of their teams. Over eight weeks, the three teams will have to compete in a series of real life fashion industry challenges for some of Britain’s best known brands, which will include photo shoots, catwalk shows and commercials.

Iconic supermodel and businesswoman, Naomi Campbell is the latest star talent to front a show on Sky Living and also acts as executive producer on “The Face”. rylan+clarkRylan Clark has been confirmed as the new co-host of Big Brother’s Bit on the Side.

The former X Factor and Celebrity Big Brother contestant will join Emma Willis and AJ Odudu on the spin-off show.

Clark said: “I have followed the show since the very beginning. It was a dream come true to enter the Celebrity Big Brother house this year, let alone win it! Being offered the job to present Big Brother’s Bit On The Side was amazing.”

AJ Odudu said: “It’s going to be brilliant fun hooking up with Rylan and Emma for Big Brother’s Bit On The Side.”

doctorwho50thDoctor Who showrunner Steven Moffat says that most things that have been reported about the 50th anniversary special are not true.

“Most things that have been said about the 50th [anniversary special] are not true,” Moffat told Radio Times.

“Normally I’m responsible for the disinformation and the rubbish rumours. I usually put them out myself, but I haven’t needed to for this one – people are spinning off the most amazing things, it’s absolutely mental!”

He added: “Some of them are actually quite good ideas – I might use them.”

ITVSportITV has picked up the live coverage rights to all of England’s international football matches ahead of EURO 2016 and the 2018 FIFA World Cup.

The agreement, announced today, continues and expands the channel’s commitment to showing live, free-to-air coverage of the England football team. It is the first time in recent years a single broadcaster will show all of England’s qualifying games for consecutive major tournaments . ITV has held the rights to show exclusively all England’s home games since 2008 as well as, since 2009, the team’s friendly matches both at home and away.

Today’s deal also includes the rights to broadcast 20 non-home nation qualifying games for ITV4. Continue reading »

WorldCup2018Sky Sports has picked up the rights to the Home Nation and Republic of Ireland qualification matches for Euro 2016 and FIFA 2018 World Cup.

The new agreement with UEFA provides Sky Sports with coverage of England, Scotland, Wales, Northern Ireland and the Republic of Ireland, together with and all other UEFA member associations, between 2014 – 2017.

The schedule of up to 500 international matches underlines Sky Sports as the home of televised football and complements the unrivalled portfolio of rights shown across six channels. Continue reading »

Channel4logoChannel 4 has ordered a new 4-part factual series called My Last Summer that follows a group of five strangers who are terminally ill and have been told they are dying.

Putting the group all together in the same house will provide them with the opportunity to confront their hopes, fears and regrets and share what thoughts they have on their funerals, legacy and afterlife. They will also get the chance to meet one another’s close friends and families to discuss and understand how death affects those that are left behind.

With guidance and support from some of the country’s leading charities, the Dying Matters Coalition and Marie Curie, Channel 4 hopes this thought-provoking series will challenge the subject of death in a responsible way and tackle the difficult issue both openly and honestly. Continue reading »
