Amanda Holden’s got a busy week this week; she’ll be on Britain’s Got Talent every night judging the semi finalists and the live grand final but what does she like to watch on television?

Apparently, she loves a bit of Katie and Peter Andre: The Next Chapter as they’re “great bad telly.  I’ve developed a soft spot for Peter Andre. I was never a fan of his music but he comes across as a really good dad and I’m a sucker for stuff like that.”

What does she hate?  Amanda doesn’t hold back and admits she’s not keen on Frankie Boyle.  Not just unkeen, in fact as she said, “I loathe him.  I don’t think he’s funny or clever and I don’t understand why anyone would give him a television show. You can print that.”

She also admitted she likes shows like Dancing on Ice and Strictly Come Dancing but would rather watch from her living room that participate on the show, “Once I had a dream that my agent had signed me up for Dancing on Ice and I was begging her to get me out of it.  It was horrible! I absolutely adore watching them, but there’s no way I would take part.”

Britain’s Got Talent will air every night this week culminating in the live final on June 4.

Made in Chelsea star Ollie Locke has told The Sun that admitting on TV that he’s bisexual was the “hardest thing” he’s ever done.

Here’s the full report…

OLLIE Locke says admitting he is bisexual on last night’s Made In Chelsea is the hardest thing he has ever done.

The 24-year-old said he hadn’t planned on coming out until his relationship with co-star Gabriella Ellis, 23, ended.

The long-haired E4 star explained: “When the show started I had no intention of coming out. But as feelings changed, it started to become obvious that Gabriella and I were not working.”

He told Heat magazine: “I thought very hard about whether I should come out and had to think about whether I would want to put it on camera.

“It was the hardest thing I’ve had to do.”

Former X Factor winner Joe McElderry has told The Sun that he has “no hard feelings” towards Simon Cowell for being dropped from Cowell’s record label, Syco.

Here’s what the paper has to say…

X FACTOR winner Joe McElderry has talked for the first time about being dropped from Simon Cowell’s record label – and insisted he has no hard feelings towards the music mogul.

The pop flop, 19, whose deal was terminated by Syco 18 months after winning the show in 2009, said he was “disappointed” but not bitter that his hopes of a second album were dashed.

Joe said: “We parted on a good note. No one was to blame. It was kind of expected.

“I was only contracted for one album and it didn’t work out how I’d hoped. The second single didn’t work out either, which was disappointing.

“But I could just feel it wasn’t right. I kind of knew it. I’ve had time to digest this and I’m OK with it now.”

Joe, of South Shields, South Tyneside, is in ITV1′s new series of Popstar To Operastar, which starts this Saturday. He said he last spoke to Si before Christmas – but not since he was axed.

Joe told Star mag: “We had a nice chat. I think highly of him and I’m thankful for my chance.”

The Sun today reports that the iconic Daleks in Doctor Who are to be “retired” as they’re no longer any match for the Doctor!

Here’s the paper’s article…

THE Daleks have been sent into retirement – because Doctor Who has exterminated them too often.

Show boss Steven Moffat said the monsters had suffered so many humiliations they would probably do a runner if they spotted the Tardis.

He added: “They are the most famous of the Doctor’s adversaries and the most frequent, which means they are the most reliably defeatable enemies in the universe.

“They have been defeated by the Doctor about 400 times. Surely they see the Tardis approaching, say, ‘Oh. It’s him again’ – and trudge away.”

Executive producer Moffat told Radio Times the Doctor, played by Matt Smith, was unlikely to battle the Daleks any time soon.

He added: “They aren’t going to make an appearance for a while. We thought it was about time to give them a rest.”

The Daleks, famous for their war cry “exterminate!”, made their debut in Doctor Who’s first series in 1963. They were voted his most terrifying enemy in a poll of fans in 2007.

Moffat said the BBC1 show’s plotlines would still be scary even without the pepperpot-shaped fiends.

He added: “It is horror, but horror for children. It’s scary in the way that a fairy story can be scary.”

Bill Tarmey’s Star Trek tribute, Natalie Cassidy looks “exhausted”, and Natalie J Robb talks being a mum!

Our first look at the soapy news is The Sun’s reports that former Corrie star Bill Tarmey – who of course played Jack Duckworth – revealed he tweaked his final lines on the show to pay tribute to Star Trek.

During the scenes filmed with Liz Dawn, who played Jack’s wife Vera, in which Jack was dying, Bill used a line taken from Star Trek: Generations, which was uttered by Captain James T Kirk as he died…

Bill explained, “According to the script I was supposed to say ‘I’m tired, Vera’.

“But I couldn’t resist making a minor addition to my farewell speech.

“I’ve been a lifelong fan of Star Trek since it first appeared and I remembered the last words of Captain James T Kirk.

“As he took his final breath, he said, ‘Oh my,’ as if death was another great adventure.

“As a dedicated Trekkie, I decided to pay my own tribute to Captain Kirk and his crew by adding those words.

“I didn’t tell anybody what I was planning to do or why. I thought I’d see if I could get away with it – and I did.

“So I changed the dialogue and said, ‘Oh my. I’m getting tired now, Vera’.”

Liz Dawn as Vera then said, “Well, put the paper down and come with me.”

Bill added, “It was a sad moment for me when Captain Kirk joshed it. His final words clearly made a big impact on me.”

Over to EastEnders now, and the Daily Mirror has the above picture of Natalie looking tired ahead of the court hearing which her partner Adam Cottrell faces on charges of assault and criminal damage.

Natalie was pictured near her home in Broxbourne along with the couple’s daughter and a friend.

An onlooker told the paper, “I see Natalie frequently and she’s always chirpy. But today she looked exhausted.”

Some media outlets are reporting that in the wake of the assault, Natalie has called off the couple’s engagement and is currently living with her father.

Finally, over in Emmerdale, Natalie J Robb – who plays Moira Barton – says that although her character is facing a tough time with her family right now, “it’s a mother’s job” to put up with such traumas.

Speaking to Inside Soap, Natalie said, “It’s every mother’s job to put up with that. It’s a constant worry from the moment kids are born.

“Moira should count her blessings as well, though. She’s got a nice husband and three great kids. This is exactly what she signed up for.”

And while discussing her on-screen son’s affair with Ella Macey, Natalie said, “It’s such a mess, and she’s so disappointed Adam.

“He’s always been her little ray of sunshine, and it’s odd for Moira that he’s sleeping with a woman the same age as her!”

Simon’s heckled! And Amanda has advice for Cheryl Cole

Last night saw the first of the live shows of this year’s BGT, and of course, the return of Simon Cowell, but not everybody was pleased to see him…

The Sun reports that when Simon arrived at the studios to begin filming for last night’s show, he was heckled and booed by some of the crowd outside because of what’s happened with Cheryl Cole.

The paper adds that Simon told insiders that Cheryl hasn’t forgiven him over her axing from The X Factor USA.

He said, “She’s had it with me. I’ve hurt her and she won’t forgive me for this.”

And a source in the audience said, “The gossip before the show was all about Cheryl and Simon.

“People were reading The Sun and saying, ‘Can you believe what he’s done to poor Cheryl?’.

“As soon as the warm-up guy said, ‘Simon is in the building,’ everyone suddenly started booing. People were saying, ‘That’s for Cheryl’.”

Then later, hosts Ant and Dec poked a jibe at Simon when Dec joked, “Can you understand my accent?”

However, it was soon on with the show, and at the end of the evening, 12 year old singer Ronan Parke was the first act voted through to the final.

Tension then mounted as cyclist Joe Oakley and pianist Paul Gbegbaje waited to find out who would be joining Ronan in tonight’s show…

David Hasslehoff and Michael McIntyre voted for Joe, while Simon Cowell and Amanda Holden voted Paul. As it was a tie, the final decision went to the public vote and Paul was put through.

Prior to the live show last night, Amanda Holden was interviewed by RadioTimes magazine about which other reality TV shows she watches, and she admitted that shows such as Katie and Peter Andre: The Next Chapter are her “guilty pleasure.”

She said, “Katie Price, Peter Andre and Kerry Katona’s shows – they’re great bad telly…

“I’ve developed a soft spot for Peter Andre. I was never a fan of his music but he comes across as a really good dad and I’m a sucker for stuff like that.”

However, while discussing which celebshows she doesn’t like, Amanda said, “Frankie Boyle. I loathe him…

“I don’t think he’s funny or clever and I don’t understand why anyone would give him a television show. You can print that.”

Earlier in the day, Amanda had also been interviewed for Radio 2, and she had some words of advice for Cheryl Cole…

She said, “There is dark talk of Cheryl snubbing a return to British X Factor. Please do not do this. You will regret it for a long time.”

More BGT news soon!

The Only Way Is Essex writer Daran Little has defended structured reality shows , saying they are popular with viewers and that’s what counts.

TOWIE received criticism following its BAFTA win for the ‘YouTube Audience Award’ but Little says he has always been confident that the show would strike a chord with UK viewers.

“I was surprised by the snobbery surrounding the triumph of The Only Way is Essex,” he wrote in his column for the Radio Times.

“I was asked if I felt it deserved its BAFTA in the viewers’ choice category. I suppose the answer is in the question: it won, didn’t it?

“If fans want to show their appreciation by voting for it, what’s the problem?”

Little worked as head story writer for the first season of TOWIE before moving on to work on the first season of Made In Chelsea.

After last night’s first Britain’s Got Talent semi-final, Ant & Dec admitted they felt Joe Oakley was their pick to advance to the final ahead of Paul Gbegbaje.

The cycling stunt artist impressed both the judges and audience with his act but in the end it came down to votes and Paul had received more.

Ant & Dec spoke afterwards on ITV2’s Britain’s Got More Talent, saying they had tipped Joe to advance.

Dec said: “After the show I tipped Ronan, Joe and Paul and I thought Joe would go through.. Just because it was more dangerous, a bit more breath taking. I think Paul is great, don’t get me wrong but I thought Joe would have just shaded it. It just goes to show, you never can tell.”

Scott & Bailey premiere performs well

New detective drama Scott & Bailey has performed well in its debut screening on ITV1, pulling 8.2 million in the 9pm hour on Sunday night. Britain’s Got Talent added a further 9.86 million between 7.30pm and 9pm.

Ant & Dec have poked fun at the misfortune of Cheryl Cole on the latest episode of Britain’s Got Talent.

The hosting duo teased Simon Cowell during the show over the decision to axe the Geordie singer from the judging panel of The X Factor USA.

Dec asked Cowell: “Can you understand my accent, Simon?”

Cowell, took it in his stride by feigning ignorance and saying: “Am I missing something here?”
