Simon Cowell has predicted that new X Factor judge Tulisa Contostavlos and Louis Walsh will clash on the series this season.

ITV announced the addition of Contostavlos, Kelly Rowland and Gary Barlow to the panel for the show this week for what will be a revamped series.

“These four are totally up for it, each of them bringing a different attitude,” Cowell said of the new line-up.

“They have had a ton of hits between them and they are all committed to finding a star. I have a feeling Louis and Tulisa will have slightly different points of view as to what the next star should look and sound like.”

Digital Spy reports today that pop singer Lily Allen has taken to Twitter to hit back at The Sun journalist Julie Burchill for calling her a “crybaby” in the writer’s column.

Here’s the full report from DS…

Lily Allen has hit back at journalist Julie Burchill over comments she made in a newspaper. In an article she penned about Cheryl Cole for The Sun, Burchill referred to Allen as an “overprivileged crybaby” and “public-school tool”, provoking the singer to respond via Twitter.

Allen posted: “Julie Birchill, you are an ignorant and bitter old troll, but I guess you know that already. The amateur psychiatrist in me says sees a lot of her younger self in me, and she’s a bit of a ‘self-loather’.”

Allen feuded with Cole in 2007 after taking offence over comments the Girls Aloud singer made on a television show with Gordon Ramsay. She has since complimented her former enemy, referring to her as “a lovely lady”.

Earlier this month, the singer denied reports that she is to take up a position as a judge on the next series of The X Factor.

Allen is believed to be marrying partner Sam Cooper in a private ceremony on June 11. She plans to spend her honeymoon at this summer’s Glastonbury festival.

Former X Factor judge Dannii Minogue and her partner Kris Smith have issued a joint statement to deny claims that they are in the process of splitting up.

The Herald Sun reports that their statement reads…

“Thanks for your concern. We’re happy to be back at home in Melbourne together as a family. We are committed to our relationship and [son] Ethan as always.”

However, Digital Spy reports that various sources have claimed that the couple separated ten days ago as Dannii headed home to begin filming for Australia’s Got Talent.

Kris, who arrived in Australia last Friday, was reportedly later seen partying at a popular nightspot with Brian McFadden and Vogue Williams.

Kris is also said to have visited Dannii yesterday as she filmed for Australia’s Got Talent.

Chloe Sims has revealed to that Fabulous magazine that the “bullying” she’s being subjected to on Twitter upsets her as much as playground bullying did.

Here’s what she told Fabulous…

“I was bullied at school and being on Twitter now is worse.

“Imagine all your insecurities and 1,000 people saying them to you in the most spiteful way possible.

“By the end of the first TOWIE episode I was crying over people’s tweets.

“They were calling me a ‘he/she’, and I was told I must be a fake person because I’ve had so much surgery.

“But it’s not fair because the rest of the cast have had as much done, if not more! Being on the show has made me notice every flaw.

“I’m the oldest member of the TOWIE cast – apart from Nanny Pat, of course!

“I’m almost 30 now, so I think if I want to have a bit of Botox then I will, and if I want to have some liposuction done in a year’s time then that’s fine, too.

“I’m going to carry on having work done until I’m completely happy with my body because I think you should love the way you look.”

Chloe added that it had “hurt” when Playboy said she had never worked for them, even though she insists that she did the Playboy Tour for six months in 2010.

Emmerdale actress Zoe Henry has been speaking to TV Times magazine about her character Rhona Goskirk, and how Rhona gives birth to baby Leo this week.

Here’s the interview…

What was it like filming the birth scenes?

“There is this sound that comes from the depths of you when you’re having a baby. I wanted to make those sounds during the scene, but I was told not to! In real-life, I made so much noise.

“Jeff (Zoe’s real-life husband, who plays Cain) looked like he was going to pass out.”

What happens in Emmerdale?

“She’s 37 weeks’ pregnant, so the baby’s not due for three weeks – although I actually had Violet at 37 weeks.

“She’s in the pub clearing tables and gets knocked over when Adam and Aaron have an altercation. Labour comes on fast, 10 minutes later.

“Paddy is nowhere to be seen, so Marlon goes with Rhona to the hospital and when she panics during the birth, he holds her hand and says ‘Look at me’, and she gets strength from him.

“They are both in tears when she’s handed her baby boy. Mark Charnock’s a dad, so he remembers how emotional it is. It’s an extraordinary moment when you hold and kiss your child for the first time.”

How does Paddy take missing the birth?

“I think seeing Marlon with Rhona really hurts him. He may be the love of her life, but he is not the father of that baby.”

What were your own births (Violet, six and Stanley, three) like?

“I was terrified of going into hospital, so chose to have my babies at home. I did have a bit of a wobble a week before I had Violet, thinking: ,What if something goes wrong? What if I need a C section? What if this baby dies?’

“But my midwives assured me that nature would tell them if anything was going wrong, well in advance. I had water births. They were amazing, although Jeff was a bit rabbit-in-the-headlights first time round.

“Second time, I laboured through the night and he went to bed for a bit, but we won’t dwell on that!”

How does Rhona react after the birth?

“She falls in love with Leo the moment she lays eyes on him. She realises that it was so the right decision to have him. He’s beautiful and healthier than they could have imagined.”

What would you have done if either of your children had tested positive for Down’s syndrome?

“I would have had the children regardless of the results. I understand why somebody would terminate. It’s a very personal decision and you cannot judge another person.

“I had the test very late with Violet because I didn’t want to do anything with the information if it was positive. I didn’t want that responsibility.

“With Stanley, I had the test because I wanted to be prepared as I had another child. Jeff and I lost a baby in between Violet and Stanley.

“It happens to a lot of people and it’s not something I get hung up about, but it only served to remind me that if we had a baby with Down’s, it would be our lot. It would be something that was meant to be.”

You can see Rhona giving birth to Leo in this week’s episodes on ITV1.

Metro report today that a Fox TV network executive has said that the reason Cheryl Cole was fired from The X Factor USA was her “negative attitude” which included being absent from the recent Grammy Awards ceremony.

Here’s what Metro have to say…

Cheryl Cole ‘got US X Factor sack for rejecting Grammys to eat biscuits’

A Fox TV executive has said Cheryl Cole’s ‘negative demeanour’ while filming US X Factor, which included skipping the Grammy Awards to sit in her hotel room eating biscuits, was among the reasons behind her being sacked as a judge.

The production executive at the company, which is making the American version of the talent show, is quoted by the Sunday Mirror as saying Cheryl had not made the most of her chance to break through in the States.

‘Instead of attending the Grammy Awards and the Coachella music festival, putting herself out there in America, she sat in her hotel room eating digestive biscuits,’ the source stated.

‘She just seemed very down. There was too much negativity around her.’

The Fox insider added that it appeared as though the Girls Aloud singer still regrets her divorce from Chelsea footballer Ashley Cole.

She was dropped from the judging panel after Fox executives felt she was not matching the performance of the others on the show.

The winning act of the inaugural series of the US X Factor will be rewarded with a $5million (£3million) recording contract with Syco/Sony. Vocal groups and singers over 12 years old are eligible to audition for the show.

The PA reports today that despite being the envy of many female fans of Hollyoaks, both Jennifer Metcalfe and Claire Cooper both have issues with how they look.

Here’s the report…

Hollyoaks stars Jennifer Metcalfe and Claire Cooper may look flawless, but just like the rest of us they have issues with their bodies.

Jennifer, better known as Mercedes Fisher, was so upset about the size and shape of her hips that she underwent liposuction last year, and is now far happier about how she looks.

She told Inside Soap: “I think surgery is a really personal decision that only you can make. If there’s something on your body you really don’t like, it doesn’t matter if your mother doesn’t see it or your boyfriend doesn’t see it – it’s what you feel comfortable with.”

Claire, who plays Jacqui McQueen, is more concerned with what she wears – and isn’t a fan of her alter ego’s dowdy style.

“I’d describe Jacqui’s style as hideous,” said the actress. “My look has changed over the years, but now I know what I like and what suits my body shape.

“I’ve got quite an athletic figure and don’t have very big boobs, so I go for something that flatters me and might add a little curve.”
